People in Missoula

ya theres some urban rails. but there's alot of people who would call the cops on ya to though. and we never really get any snow in the valleys any more.

 
at one of the highschools theres a insane like 4-5 kink that is begging to be seshed

Dude, I am from Missoula. There is plenty of urban rails. Just drive around. I have some sweet rails in my yard too. Also you can hit up lolo Pass to find some rails people leave up there too. Yo Yo. Missoula is the Shizel!

The only rails I ever see mostly are pretty death defying. I have lived here for four years and am always looking around and they are usually either in spots where its impossible for a runway or a deathly drop on either side. Im not really a hardup urban rail guy, but if I see a good safe one to try, id be down.

There are definatlely alot of teli skiers in Missoula, but there is usually always a small gang of us NSers, u just gotta dig deep and find them. There aren't many of us around here it seems.

nice, I do a little work for H30 Films and I'll be throwing a premiere at Pipestone Mountaineering. I got to know the owner when I visited last month and we went over some general stuff and he's down. Should be good and it'll be a good way to get all the Missoula NS'er's in one place.

I'll get back to you guys with more details in August, when I move out there and the movie is closer to completion.

There are alot of places to ski within about 3 hrs of Missoula. Snowbowl is about .5 hrs out of town but they have no park, dont really groom anything and they have 2 person chairlifts :]. Big Mountain in whitefish is a SICK ass moutain that gets ALOT of powder and its huge. Alot of natural hits and really good skiing there. Their terrain park is sorta weak, but it's Montana what can u expect. Schweitzer Mtn in idaho is also 3 hrs away and they have a SICK terrain park. I usually make a few trips there on weekends or during spring break. They have a really dope park, i always have a blast there and there is a good newschool scene.

There are alot of small powder trap mountains such as Lost Trail, Discovery and other small mountains within 2 hrs of Missoula. I usually dont go to them though.

Missoula could really use some motivated NSers to get a skiing scene going. There are alot of mountains to do some BC skiing too if u can get there and can get a hold of a snowmobile. Whenever u get here lemme know. Pipestone is badass!! they sold me a kickass tent!!

Snowbowl is ok, i get bored quick, and snow isnt always that super, the Big is dope, and the park like concept said isnt great, but every once in awhile they build some dope hits. oh btw concept you should msg me and give me your email, and such, in case you come up this summer, and i'll give you my cell so we can meet up in the winter or so i can know when youre gonna be up at the big, cuz youre a pretty fun dood to sesh with.

Urban Rails here are sick, the ones on campus you have to be quick about becuse of the rent a cops but are defenatly doable. I have a couple rails we take to Lolo pass too when there is good snow. Missoula is defenatly chill for skiing.

I just got back from Missoula. I stayed in Flourence (about 20 minutes south of missoula), and while driving back and forth, I noticed that the Lolo high school ( i think it is their high school) has some sick rails. Also, the U of M campus has a ridiculous down flat down rail, but i think it is a pretty big bust.
