People are very dissapointed with the ps3

i have been all over multiple game forums and they are all saying the same thing. its dissapointing. the controller is supposdly no good and the graphics are not mindblowing. i know now i will not be getting one. im getting a 360.
 
yea, i bought a first gen PS2 off my neighbor (a while after they had been out), the thing sucked, didnt work for shit and had all kinds of bugs. and yes, the PS controller blows compared to the x box ones.
 
well., ive heard the opposite, played it, and was blown away

all i know.....Killzone, next year, will blow every video game ever created out of the water. QUOTE ME MOTHER FUCKERS
 
PS3 has THE BEST graphics of anything, but it's so expensive I will settle for better games and better price that the xbox360 has to offer, the Wii is pretty cool too
 
i might try to pick up a wii just for shits and giggles cuase it sounds pretty fun jsut to tool around with but then again nintendo sux balls
 
yea thats how 360 waas when it came out it sucked...but now its fuckin sick with all the games they are releasing...the only reason i would buy ps3 is for grand theft auto when that comems out like next year

 
the ps2 contoller wons the xbox one in my mind. its just so simple and easy to use, but has enough buttons
 
The Wii is going to be amazing. plus u can play every nintendo game ever madeeeeeeeeeeee, so sexual.
 
I love the Xbox controller. Is it me or does the design for the actual PS3 machine look ugly as hell? I mean, the PS2 and PS3 are both ugly looking things and the Xbox looks atleast decent
 
It does its 1080i, as opposed to xbox 720p, most consumers now own 720p HD sets, as the 1080i's hae just been introdouced, if you have a 1080i tv, get a PS3, if not sitck with X box 360
 
Bah, spend that money on something else, like a trip out west if you live east coast or midwest, or buy new skis or some dope outerwear. Why waste So much $$$ on gaming?? seriously.. $600 for the system and $80-$100 on PS3 games? (well thats how much i heard they cost)

sounds a bit rediculous, just my opinion!

just buy an N64 if ya wanna game! haha
 
I played the PS3 at BestBuy today. I've never liked the PS controllers, the L2 and R2 buttons suck where they are, it does help that they tilt slightly though. They had it hooked up to a high def LCD ( of course ) and the graphics were amazing. I'd rather get an Xbox just because of the controllers though, the graphics are good enough for me.
 
i had heard that sony dropped development on making games in 1080i due to problems with programming or disk space or something. i was pretty sure that the ps3 games would be running in 720p just like the xbox. correct me if that is wrong though.
 
ps3 and 360 r just as good now just ps3 costs more but once ps3 gets goin its gonna b better wii just sucks its all little kid gamess and the controlors are shit they look like remotes for the tv
 
they dropped 1080p. not 1080i. i have no idea what each one is, but thats what my dad said, he we have a 1080p tv i think. P is better than i, im pretty sure
 
Yeah fuckin' right I'm dishing out 659$ for a PS3... and then 75$ for each game (plus tax)...

Wii is 279$. I'll get a few of the new games, and totally abuse the NES, SNES and N64 games. It'll fucking rock balls.
 
because people thing it's going to be the best thing ever because of the bluray technology when everything else about it will suck.
 
wats the big deal about graphics anyway? I would rather have good gameplay over a couple pixels more of graphics. I would play my N64 over any of the other systems if it had better games. No one can turn down Goldeneye for better graphics
 
The Wii plays gamecube discs. NES, Super Nintendo, and N64 games can be downloaded using Wii Points. It's 2000 points for 20 bucks. I believe it's like 500 for NES games (5 dollars), 800 for Super Nintendo (8 dollars) and 1000 for N64 games (10 dollars). And I believe Legend of Zelda OOT will be downloadable eventually. Super Mario 64 is at launch. Also, sega and TurboGrafx16 games too.

The ps3 does 1080p as well, which is better than 1080i. Also the xbox 360 does 1080p as of about a month ago. I have my 360 hooked up to my 19 inch computer monitor doing 720p and its pretty incredible though.
 
because playstation realeased 1/5 the amount of 360's that were released in the US, therefore they are much more rare, and more expensive on ebay.

i think im just going to pick a 360 here pretty soon. i first started gaming on playstation, but its just too expensive, and i have gotten into xbox lately.
 
no no, first gen meaning the first version...

honestly, does no one learn? the 360 had trouble with overheating and kinda sucked the first time round. Now it's amazing. Same with, well, all PS's ever. Just wait a bit, let them work out the kinks, and then enjoy.

But in all honesty: Halo 3.
 
Guys, the games that are released with the system are never good, the developers have to work a bit more and tweak out the bugs. Nearly all of the games our for ps3 now have many glitches, horrible/slow gameplay and several other problems that you will find on any young system. When that is sorted out the developers have their groove on, great developing and a powerful system will meet and produce super games. I still want an xbox though so i can play halo 3 and use their sexy controller.

As for the price, it will go down, stop crying. Give it some time and the price in stores will drop down and you may even be able to go to a used game store and get a great deal on a good machine. By this time also, the ps3 crew will have their shit figured out and you will get games worth your money.
 
yeah that might be it. i know blu ray disks have a ton of space (about 50gig right now?) and they are just scratching the surface of potential disk space for the technology. i know that p is for progressive and i for interlaced, dont know the exact difference but yes p is better. i play my 360 in 720p and it looks amazing but i havent seen anything in either 1080i or 1080p to compare it to, plus i think my tv might only go up to 720p or 1080i im not sure.
 
i was thinking i might get a wii tomorrow.. just cause of the nes and snes things.. but i might wait too... i would soo get battle toads when i get it.. but for now i'm gonna go play some nes just for shits and giggles
 
I like how the 1080p and 1080i go along with a disk interpreting 720. I really think sony is getting ripped off sellign their amazing technology for so cheap. The hardware server of the PS3 way outruns the flex inhibitor of the 360. In the end what it comes down to. If you're looking a new system that will play games on it, you either have to go with the Wii, PS3 or the 360. Now the question is which one. WEll look into 1080s and 720s with the PIs and remember what HD TV you've got if it can handle the 50gig bluray disks or not you might has well just shut er down.
