So i sold my salomon pocket rockets on ebay with salomon 912ti bindings for 250 they were mounted twice for a 29.5 boot size. I had pictures of the ski. The guy is pissed that i didnt mention the skis were centermounted and said he had to get a remount and he wanted me to pay for it. The pictures proved the skis were center mounted. Its not like i lied about the boot size and his boot didnt fit. The guy is a moron..and the best part of the arguement was..

I have worked in a ski shop for 5 years and skis are very rarely mounted at center.

So his arguement is basically stating that because the skis are center mounted i should pay for the remount because i did not say they were mounted at center. which now i realize i should have but with pictures and one question asked he could have had his answer.

the guy is an idiot in my opinion and trying to get more money out of me.

I understand why he's mad because usually(not always) the person selling the skis will tell where it is mounted, if its not at suggested. So if he really wanted to know, he definatly should have asked, and you probably should have said in the auction regardless. So he has reason to be mad, but you definatly shouldn't have to give him anything at all.

I'd give that guy a 100% fault. He bought something without knowing about it, his fault. Sure you should have said the mounting point, but he didn't have to bid on it if he was concerned about where they were mounted.

how much is it to even mount a ski? i just either got my dad to do it, or get the guys in the back a 6- pack.

His fault for not checking before he placed a bid...you can't just assume everyone mounts on the line.
And if he's worked at a shop for 5 years he should be able to just use the jig and mount his own stuff for free, that's one of the benefits of working there.

ya the guys retarded. hes just trying to get money out of you. ask him how much it costs to remount ( to see if its a reasonable price) and aslo ask what shop and get phone #, call up the shop ask them the price. then tell the guy youll pay half if he doesnt exept it the fist time then "say well to bad you had your chance and now the offers gone"  next thing to do is never talk to him again the end.

He's probably just trying to make extra cash off of you. Don't pay him, he should have asked where they were mounted.

Tell him you'll let him return them but he will have to pay the shipping. You can always do the second chance offer to the next ebayer in line or relist them. In the long run you'll be better off.

^ that is what I would do, tell him fine. Make him pay to ship them back to you and tell him he can have his 250 bakc minus shipping minus paypal fee and he will 99% just keep them rather than go through the trouble.

A mount here is 20$, remounts are free. However, 4 hours away, a mount is 35$. Pretty rediculous!

Anyways, its his own fault for not asking. Dont give him any money. 250 is enough of a steal for that set-up.

I would not pay it. He is the buyer, he should have asked. If you go buy a car and you have a stupid sells man and he does not tell you the size of the motor, you dont just think its a V8 or something. YOU ASK!! His own fault.

did you say he told you that he worked in a ski shop for 5 years?  how the hell can he not get the skis mounted for free?  unless he was a dbag to all the guys in the shop, he should get a free remount

sorry for bold

^exactly. plus its the buyer's resposibility to ask any necessary questions anyway. tell him to go fuck himself (but in nicer words).

It's his fault for not asking about it... surely if it looked in the pictures that it had half a chance at being center mounted, he should have asked.

Agreed, it was his responsibility to ask those kinds of questions though so you owe him nothing, but usually you should post what the ski is mounted at.

Stop all contact with the guy. Maybe reply to his latest message saying that he's not getting money back and that's the last you're saying. Then if he gives you negative feedback get eBay involved, you've got a good case.

Sounds like the guy is just an asshole or is bullshitting you. Someone said it above, if he works in a shop he can remount. And you said it was drilled twice for a 29.5 already? He can just drill out the old plugs and mount the binding back where your first mount was. And no, it doesn't weaken the mount or the ski doing this. I reused holes in me old Skogen's and they almost fell apart from use (I even rockered both tips by crashing into a barrier) and the bindings didn't give me any issues.

Not to be a dick but a mount at my local shop is 50 bucks. Which i thought was incredibly high but boots and skis there are just as good if not better than internet prices. So i wish our mounts were 20 bucks.
