How is charging $34 for 3 bands selling out..that sounds like a deal to me, specially those 3 bands altogether in one place...Pennywise stuck to Epitaph because they didn't want to sell out despite numerous offers from bigger labels...

Dont you know that for a band to be punk all there shows have to be at small venues and the tickets can only cost 10$ (forbid they make money). And only super hardcore gnarly sick punk rockers that have to dress a certain way to prove to the world how unique just like everyone else they are to the world.

many of you don't understand exactly what selling out is. in life many people have a principal, political punk bands are there to express ideas and fight the governments braiwashing of the youth. it's not just punk that has a principal, many other artists in different genres of music have a principal they stand by. to sell out is for the artist(s) to go against their principals in the name of money! offspring did it after the smash album the same way others did the same. the number one thing i respect about people is their dedication to their principals and to live by them through thick and thin

ok! let me clarify. PW is still one of my fave bands and sell out was too strong of a word to use but that is what it is! Pennywise sings about going agenst this shit (all punk for that matter) is about going agenst this shit. People were complaining about Anti-Flag being 14$! I wasn;t but others were. Punk s supposed to be about oing agenst the shitty pop culturer. It is supposed to be about 'not being in it for the money!' that is why JISM_represent, although a little scarcastic he may sound, is mosly correct (exept for the cloths part) Pennywise has turned into Capitalist pigs (everything they stand agenst!)

on the other hand, they still keeep true to the message and, if it is the case that they just want more publicity for their message than forgive me!

SHIT! 311 is shitty pop culture shit though! Offspring isn't much better.

yeah, $34...probably $6 for conveniency fee...you're forgetting they're playing w/311 and offspring...def not 311 so much...their tickets usually go for about $20 or so...offspring on the other hand is non punk pop shit. look at the other bands who're playing then complain. if you take 5 seconds to think about it i think it'll make sense.

Selling out doesn't really have to do with making money as long as their stound stays the same, at least as far as i care. Rancid may have moved to a bigger lable for their new cd, and Lars Frederiksen is working with freakin' Pink, but they still sound like rancid(we'll just forget arrested in shanghai was ever made ;-) ) so i love it.

not true what you described sounds like an anarchy band which is by no means a political band. political bands are there to put forth their views and the truths of things not go against government.
