Penn State THON 2010

In 1973, a small group of dedicated Penn State students held our first Dance Marathon. That year, 34 dancers participated and raised $2,000. Since then, THON’s presence in the Penn State community has grown exponentially. THON now has 15,000 student volunteers, 700 dancers, and has raised more than $61 million, benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children’s Hospital.THON is now a year-long effort that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. With the support of students from all across the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and THON Alumni all around the world, we continue to make great strides towards finding a cure for all childhood cancers!Thank you for your interest in learning more about THON. was at the BJC all weekend so I didn't see this on NS. THON was incredible this year. We raised 7.8 million dollars, absolutely unbelievable. MY organization was fifth in the non-greek orgs raising 55,000+ dollars! we were so pumped. I'm still amazed at how awesome this weekend was and I can't wait for next year already. Wasn't a fan of this years line dance though, last years was better imo. FTK FTK FTK!!!

my brother's friend was one of the dancers last year. said he didn't want to move for 2 weeks after it was over. great cause, but that would be so brutal...
