Peanut Butter or Jelly first?

when you are making a delicious PB&J, do you put peanut butter on first or jelly?

i personally put PB down first, and then put enough jelly to balance the tastes

Peanut Butter can get in the jell can but jell can not get in the peanut butter can. So peanut butter first, always

peanut butter first for sure, and then you can clean the knife with your fingerws and get all that deliciousness in your mouth

peanut butter because its esier for the jelly to stick. and anyway jellys a little to shy to go first. peanut butters way more badass.

peanut butter first, apply with knife. take access peanut butter and try to force it on the bread. once your knife has been set aside, take your favorite spoon and apply the jelly to the other slice of bread. once both slices of bread have been covered, place said slices together and you have made your self a peanut butter and jam sandwhich or as the kids call it "PB&J"

i put peanut butter on one slice and jelly on the other and use 2 knives and i do it in no particular order

jelly first. you can wipe the knife off more easily, then use it for the peanut butter. i'm always trying to minimize how much stuff i have to wash, so that's the obvious way to do it for me.

peanut butter, rinse the knife, jelly. the jelly spreads really well over the peanut butter and i'd rather have a little peanut butter in my jelly than a little jelly in my peanut butter.

Definitely peanut butter, then i get peanut butter and jelly on the knife at once and lick it off, and its like a delicious pre-snack, then jelly.

The real way is to put peanut butter first , and then jelly...thats why the call it peanut butter (which is 1st) & jelly and not jelly and peanut butter....its a thinker

at the exact same time. joking ive never actually had one of those yet i better go make myself one right now

first of all, fuck jelly. jam is where its at, with the fruit and shit in it. second of all, there are 2 schools of thought on this. if you are using crappy bread that falls apart or you are going to be storing the sandwich for later consumption, you apply peanut butter first, but more thinly and on both slices of bread. that way, the jelly doesn't become absorbed into the bread when you go to eat it making it all sticky and shit. on the other hand, if you are eating it right away and it is some pretty robust bread, you apply the jam first, because it is easier to lick off the knife completely. then you do the peanut butter.

also, they must always be cut diagonally. if i ordered a pb&j in a restaurant and it came sliced not diagonally, i would send it back.

PB first on both slices of bread, then jelly on one so its trapped in between the peanut buttery breads making a delicious sandwich

peanut butter.

i do a regular thick layer on one slice, then a thin one on the other side so the jelly doesn't soak through.
