Peak of Perseid Meteor Shower tonight!

there is a pike path near me and there is a trussel bridge that is part of it. it goes over a little lake.

so from this bridge, you can see the entire sky, and its really out of the way, no houses around it really or any big lights.

im planning to go there tonight.

how else should we celebrate?
 
I and MJ was out yesterday and saw some amazing shit but I had f7,1 and did like 5 minute exposures and sadly none of the meteors showed up, so hopefully the sky cleres up a bit tonight so I can have a nother go.

I went out in my backyard late last night, not even knowing there was a meteor shower... watched for about 5 minutes and saw at least 10 shooting stars. Looked it up online today, and was like "Fuck yeahhh"
Hoping tonight is legit
 
it's supposed to peak around 6pm mountain time, which kinda sucks but it should still be just as good, if not better than every other night this week.
 
Prepped my camera last night, and went out last night, I saw two shooting stars in like one minute. Tonight's gon' be the big night!
 
i never fucking said it would be a good idea to go outside at 6pm and look at a blue fucking sky okay im just saying thats when its supposed to peak around here.
 
Yeah same here. It kinda sucks, I've had plans to go to the top of a mountain nearby and watch it with my friends since this time last year
 
im super bummed cuz im up in glacier so it would have been EPIC. no light pollution whatsoever.
 
well, that was fuckin gay. i was outside with my camera and shutter release for 3 hours and didn't get shit. i saw maybe 6 BIG ones, but nothing really stunning... sad face. tell me somebody got good shots
 
Dammit I was so stoked for this, stupid ass weather. It was all cloudy, then cleared up, and got completely clouded over right before it's supposed to get good. I went down into a ravine by my house with a couple friends and we only got to see a couple. I hope it clears up so I can go out and see it again and get some photos, fuck.
 
I watched it tonight and the last two nights. Pretty interesting cuz two nights ago some guy with a telescope was telling me and my buddy about the constellations n shit
 
It was kind of weak in Van, agree? I'm way out in the burbs but it was still not the best. I saw the usual shooting stars but only like 4 or 5 really flashy bright meteors. Got home at like 3:30 so I didn't miss peak time or anything
 
I'm not sure if the meteor shower is still on for tonight, but you can usually catch a decent amount every night if you're patient enough.
Last night was awesome though, definitely worth it
 
I've been out shooting two nights now and saw a bunch of bright ones, satellites and nothing showed on the pics =/
