PE vs. TM

ok, so i've narrowed it down to getting the PE or the TM before i go to High North. i'm about 6' tall, only about 135-140 lbs. so i don't know if the TMs are long enough, but i hear they're really sick. Plus, the PEs are supposed to be softer, which would be better for a lightweight person like me, so right now, i'm leaning towards getting the 179 PEs (which are really 183). Please tell me reasons why to get which one. thanks a lot.

If you think a 175 isn't big enough, demo skis at camp and the Phils' TM Pro Model next season, but I highly reccommend the TM's.

Definateley the TM - the PEs are shit

god damnit, this is hard. by the way, they have to be durable, or at least have a nice warranty, i can't afford to get a new pair of skis for a while after these, gotta save up for a car.

whats up with the PE 179s are they really 183? when i held them in the store they seemed alot longer then my 176skogens, so i wondered if they were longer then 179

alright, you need convincing. Well where do i start, strong bases, amazing pop, durability, good all mountain carving, best ski in the park, period?

well lets go through em, the bases, yes, they are made stronger than regulars skis bases, so go along sliding rails and have fun, dont worry bout the bases. good luck with the PEs.

The highlight of this ski is the pop it provides. they say equipment cant make you a better skier, bullshit, i can guarentee you will boost 2-4 ft higher in the pipe and easily clear tables you had trouble clearing on your old sticks. the pop is amazing, and after riding these in the parks you wont want to switch.

the rest is just minute details, they are durable, and great for all mountain, dont believe me, ask deschanuex how he liked em out in Jackson Hole or crichton how they ride on the east coast.

From my experience: I'm about 5'7 and 145lbs. I demoed the TM's in a 175 and they felt VERY short. They were good skis but they didn't really grab my attention all at.

I got the 179 PE's and I love them! I mounted mine 1.5cm forward, but I could have gone for 2 or 2.5. The PE's RIP all around the mountain and they feel super stable. Wide enough for all mountain (wider than my old XX's) and great for pipe/park.

I would say definately go for the PE's. They're terrific and their warranty is super solid.
