no, the edges are absolutely crazy. They made them extra thick just for grinding. I treat my skis like shit and i grind all the time and i have ground some shitty surfaces and my edges are perfect still, for like a year. Delam is not really a problem, it just chips away on the side a lil bit just like every ski you ski in the park with. no problem at all. but if they DO delam, K2 is very good bout that and will send you new ones.
well, my pe teacher is a real ass. i have him first period every tuesday. i cant wait! last tuesday he really peed in my cherry o's, and my day was wrecked
yeah it turns out that 150 scientists have been carfully studying the K2 PE since it was available to the public and this is the conclusion that they recently published in the american journal of medicine...i mean skiing :
'The K2 PE is an excellent ski for everything that a 'newschool' skier will want to do. It has been determined to be completly flawless, not one problem with it at all.'
I hope this clears everything up for ya bro
the magazine is called 'POWDER' cool! - my stupid non-skiing friend
I have actually investiaged this and it turns out that the first small batch of PEs that came out, the very first ones, had problems with their cores snapping. This was due to a cheap type of woodcore being used. They corrected the problem right away and now everything is fine, dont worry bout it...
i've been riding mine for about a week now.. in the park and on the groomers.. And they have been doing AWESOME! The edges are very strong and the base seems pretty good too. I haven't had any problems with them scratching or getting gashes. I did notice that hte tops were delaming a VERY VERY slight bit along the edges but im not too worried about it. The tips in the back are huge so it makes fakie riding just as easy as riding regular. Great skis!
Most durable skis I've ever used. Early season this year and late summer season last year I had some sketchy run-ins with some rocks. The kind of thing where you hear the rock, you feel the rock and you see the rock, and you hope to god your skis haven't exploded. Take a look at my bases and there are some scratches but that's it. Edges are perfect. No complaints here.
i've ridden on mine 3 or 4 times and i've just been grinding and hitting small jumps. They have chips all over the sides of them and the base is all fucked up. the rails I hit were fine too. I just hope i dont break them. They seemed durable till i used them and checked out the base... it looked like i went skiing on rocks.
