My editing computer is the HP z800. You can find the specs anywhere online. This computer (the one currently sitting in my house) was used to edit all the hockey footage from this past winter olympics. It is currently being run with dual hp HD monitors (35 inch I believe) and is running Avid Media Composer 5 and Pro Tools. /getonmylevel

My personal computer is just a standard HP g6 Pavilion. Absolutely nothing special about it.

i dont think your monitors are 35 inches. that would be huge, and 30 inch displays are already around $1000 each. unless you use tvs as screens, but that looks terrible.

ive got an old gaming computer. core 2 duo (e8400), gtx 260, 4gb ddr2. still runs games pretty well

theres a lot of pc users, but pc gamers are pretty rare. a lot of people dont even know what components are in their pc

I'm a pc gamer, but my rigs a little out of date, so I won't bother posting it. I know this is a noobie question, but what's overclocked mean? That you have it run over maximum suggested level?

yeah. All processors have a set clock frequency that the manufacturer puts on it, this is a stable speed that is under warranty. Overclocking a processor is just giving it more voltage and raising the multiplier (in most cases) so it can run at a faster speed. You can overclock RAM and video cards as well.

i7 2600kAsus P8Z68-V

16gb Mushkin memory

2 x Intel SSD

WD Caviar Black

Corsair AX850

Evga 560ti SLI

Other shit that I can't be fucked listing like drives and cooler blah blah

Not used for any gaming. Got 560 sli in it cause my other card fucked out. Need something that can run 3-4 monitors so got some 560's off a friend for free haha.

this. you can get extra performance at no cost by increasing your processor speed, but it produces extra heat, so you will usually need a better cooler. it can also cause damage if you overclock it too much.

Im overclocking my iphone 4. Well, actually regular clocking it because apple underclocks the processor. It actually makes quite a big difference. i know its not a pc but whatever
