I'm planning a trip to PC from Tahoe in a couple weeks after my resort closes. We get free tickets to PC so I should utilize this! First off, PC will still be open on the 15th-17th and still have a park? Also is there any super cheap motels or anything to stay in for dirt cheap? Let me know, I'm stoked to be going.
 
Lame, just saw their closing date is the same as ours, the 13th. guess its mammoth instead.
 
due to them closing so soon, I'm going to come this saturday night through monday night. and I think i am just going to sleep in my car. Any good spots to park and sleep with out being bothered by security or cops?
 
Hmmm, a hotel parking lot would work well. Hell if you find one with a breakfast you could prolly snag some free food. I'd say check out the Ramada in Kimball. I think they have breakfast there.
 
I think there's a walmart right off 80 which is like 10 minutes from pcmr and I'm pretty sure you can always park at walmart overnight. I guess some locations stopped letting people do it but that one is probably legit.
 
there's also a little rest area just before town on 80, i've used that a few times to truck camp. if it isn't snowing you can try to park in the bottom lot next to the silver king hotel at park city and just park against the furthest snowbank. you can call the resort as well and ask for the department over the parking and they can give you a camp ticket for your car or they'll just say it's ok now.
