PC Opening Day - Update!

Uhhhh....Just to let you guys know....They're building a big big big hip jump on payday...Along with gnar rails. I like. I believe it opens tomorrow.

i saw them pushing snow over there on monday, and you can see it on the kings crown web cam. last i check it was looking like a hip wich if it is ill be pissed cuz i favor hips on the right side of the slope haha.but sweet ill be back wed-monday!

I heard a rumor

that Park City started building their night park today

and that there is a 35 foot table in the night park

Did anyone else spot the park on payday today? Looks freakin sick! Like a real life 30-35 footer. C wall ride thing, The double barrel on top of the triangle box (same one as in jonseys last year) and c box. Wow really PC park crew! I once again applaud your efforts. Who knows what else they will put in.

Wow, Park City Blog is so legit this year. 3rd update already!

Jesus, they're working hard. It's like they're on steroids. I wouldn't have complained even if they kept the opening day setup for a while. I'm not used to seeing a park crew that cares. It's weird not being able to complain...

June City.... I love it!
So i am gonna do my best to interact here and keep you guys updated... The hip wont work, i couldn't get they extra room for the in-run, so we put a jump in with this different kind of landing set up. If you go right it is short, like 25ft go left a bit it may be 45ft... down the middle 35ish... then those jibs... so have fun guys... and girls!! Check out the pics above it will make more sense...

Yes! Someone get this guy an orange name!

Also if anyone sees a kid skiing with a massive sling on this week, its me, with my jacked up shoulder. Jea!

I couldn't be more impressed with the way PC has been dealing with their parks for this season. I remember two or three years ago when PC opened with no jibs. This year they designated a major portion of the only run to an incredible opening day park.... and within one week have up a pretty large park. Keep killing it Jeremy, and thanks for being present on here to see feedback and update us on what's happening.

That was 2 years ago, the 07-08 season.

Funny thing, look at the comments on the park blog in the most recent post.

man this is depressing. I moved here from the midwest, and now I can't find a job or afford a pass. Looks like PC is killing it. Seriously, their park is already better than a lot of mid season midwest parks.

^^^ sick edit!!! PC improves daily, having tons of fun and enjoying every minute! Also super Stoked on the new park manager, this years gonna be nuts!

Super stoked all week on the park and to see the constant changes coopers killing it! personal preference though, I preferred the death star opening day when it had the poppier lip and the longer landing, and I liked the gray bar before it was raised, maybe a lip with a little more pop? either way I'm nitpicking the park crew is killing it!

nah son...keep the grey bar high, real urban style. the single barrel is low, good to learn. the square bar should be raised. pc gettin legit this year, keep killin it Jeremy!

does anyone turn on the way to the park? going straight is the wackest.

and stop standing on that jump before the flat box! people want to hit features, stop closing them by huddling on them. have some common courtesy in the park people...

because you're blocking a feature. are you serious? how about you ski through the whole park. jesus. be considerate to others.

this! always find myself slowing down for the up box because people are scared to carry speed into it

exactly what i was thinking. lots of people like to hot lap cruise without stopping and get quite salty when people are standing around doing nothing but blocking shit...

now, now, no need for this argument. everybody has different riding styles and its hard to accommodate for that in such a small area. once more runs start opening, and more features go up people will diffuse a bit more across the mountain.

have you skied at pc ever? this shit goes on all year. the dfd before the two jumps in jonesey's last year i almost killed many people due to them standing in the way.

it's just simple park etiquette, that no kids in pc can wrap their minds around. oh well, next time maybe i'll just hit the feature they're standing on and maybe they'll learn their lesson.

nope i havnt nearly ridden there as much as you but it doesnt bother me as much because my home mountain has always been just as bad...

Amen Jeff. This is really the only real problem with the park right now. Hot lapping and flowing through the entire park is how it is supposed to be skied. If you want to hike that is fine, but please stay out of the way and look uphill before dropping. And it really is an all season problem, though it is certainly made worse due to there being one park on a beginner run that all the goombas and their parents can ride through. As for that dfd last year, I definitely landed on a snowboarder when coming off the end because he was using it like a railing to steady himself.
