I think that after so much complaining last year so many people are confusing complaining and criticism.
Complaining and constructive criticism are completely different.
Constructive Criticism uses no demeaning language, aims to improve behavior, is genuine (without prejudice), helps the criticized to identify their weaknesses and improve upon them, and most importantly lets them chose if they want to accept your criticism or not.
As long as I am mentioning what I don't like and giving input as to
what I do like, it is not complaining, but rather constructive
criticism. Park City can take my criticism and make sure that there aren't too
many features without lips in future parks, or they can ignore my
constructive thoughts and continue doing what they are doing.
It is important that we give feedback to Jeremy so that he knows what we do and don't like so that he can tailor his creativity to our needs.
On the other hand, go look at the threads last year where 12 year old kids were swearing (demeaning language) and criticizing Jim and the Park Crew (made it personal), rather than giving suggestions just talked about how much better other parks were. That was inappropriate.
And in all honesty I don't know why people are acting like last years opening day park was so horrible, it was a great opening day rail line with actually more variety than we have right now. I do like the 2 jumps more than what they had last year, but you don't have to pretend like last year was horrible.
I am okay with anyone in here agreeing or disagreeing with me, but I don't know why I am being condemned for expressing my opinion courteously.
