Paypal question, please answer asap + Karma!

if i have a verified paypal account do i have to wait to transfer funds to make a payment on an auction? Basically I want to buy something on ebay (i have a verified paypal account for $500 it says, but a balance of 0.) Does this mean If i purchase the item on ebay, I can immediately pay for the item so it is shipped tomorrow, then pay paypal back? I cant wait the 5 days to transfer funds for the shirt I want because Im going out of town next week.
 
I think as long as it is tied to a bank account or a credit card then the payment is instant. If you do an e-check, it takes a few days.
 
ya i do it all the time.  my paypal balnce is alway 0.  but its connected to my bank account so it draws funds from their which takes a few days for paypal to get their money but your payment to the seller is instant.  If my bank account was ever empty my paypal is backed up with a credit card so they would hit that.
 
you can put money in your paypal from your bank if you know you are going to use it in a week or so, this will give you a balance. Most stores, i am assuming ebay, will do an automatic withdrawl from your bank account. I know most companies do that
 
Mine is linked through my credit card so I just get billed when I get my monthly statement. But the payments are instant for me.
 
if you connected the paypal account with a bank account and have 0 balance its going to automatically take the money from your bank. this takes a few days (like 3-5) to complete and the person wont ship till then. if you connect a credit card to your paypal its instant because if something is messed up with your bank account, paypal will just take the money from the credit card.
