If im buying a pair of pants from someone off here, in roder to make sure i dont get scammed on paypal should i send the money as a gift or a "payment owed"... this is my first purchase and i just dont wanna make a mistake and screw myself over..

in certain cases it can be OK to gift if the seller is super legit, but it doesnt serve a huge purpose besides making your payment slightly worth more to them.
 
Don't be too worried, hasn't been much scamming going around here lately from what I have seen. Most people on here are good for it, but in general don't gift payments.
