PayPal adding money--WTF??

I have added money from a bank account before, but when I went to add money this time, it said verify two amounts Paypal sent to the bank account to make sure it is really me, and tells me to fill in the penny amount(they gave a few cents to my bank account, or something?). I dont know why the fuck they messed with what they were doing since that seemed to work perfect, and I can't really find a good way to explain whats happening. ANyone else have this problem? or know how i might be able to fix it?

Thanks, and I put this in buy/sell/trade because the money being put in is for a buy I wanted to get done today...

i can't say anything about the "old way" paypal used to do things..I just recently got an account though and was also required to 'confirm' my bank account by entering the two very small deposits that they made into my account. I confirmed it and then went on immediately to transfer money--it was pretty easy, and like I said I don't know if this is totally different than how they used to do things, but it worked smoothly for me..

hope that helps some--not sure if you have multiple accounts though..that could be different

maybe if you didnt use the account for a while it does that. it happened to my friend. if you frequently use it and it did that, i have no idea why.. hope it helps. credit cards work alot faster for payement to other ppl with paypal.

it could just be that you needed to confirm your account after not using for a while..or maybe they just started a new policy for confirming accounts and are requiring you to do it. the adding money to your account is just a test to make sure that transferring money both ways will work...

you could call them too, i'm sure they have a fun set of hoops to jump through in their customer service phone menu :)

"press 3 now to speak with a customer service representative who understands only about half of what you say.....and on and on"
