Paying for NS

I think its a good idea. We would pay $20 for our name and like $10 a year after that. The $20 would be a one time payment. This would cut down on all the ass-holes. Plus whoever owns this site would make hella money which they could redistribute a portion of back to the NS following through contests.

Thats my opinion whats yours?
 
my opinion is that your a dumbas because although it seems little, ten and twenty dollars can actually mean alot to some people. for example if I took ten dollars out of a paycheck that could mean one less trip to the moutain. This site was created to use for free, and it should be kept that way
 
where are your riding for ten dollars a day? and ten dollars a tear comes out to a little less than 3 cents a day. Keep your eyes ouy for pennies on the ground

just saying it would be a good idea imo
 
Defeats the purpose of NS. Membership growth would stop immediately and everyone would just lurk as guest. It's a dumb idea.
 
a lot of people who use NS are under 18 and dont have credit cards. Im 17 dont have a credit card and it wouldn't be easy for me to convince my parents to pay money for me to sit on the computer.

 
yeah that would suck, i don't want to pay to sit on the computer but i love ns. let's just keep it how it is
 
I think that this really defeats the purpose of NS, as much as I would be willing to pay a bit to access the site I think that it would be a problem for many of the users. It is nice to see the amount of donators increasing regularly though (I know I unfortunately have not joined those ranks yet...). But as much as regular payments would be awesome for the site to expand even more, I think that they are doing great and think that it would undermine the spirit of newschoolers.
 
sorry dude, i don't know how you came up with this idea, but it's not a very good one. it would make ns like the first pay message board on the internet hence making it super gay,
