Interesting story behind Charlie Puth's part.
Charlie and I share a mutual friend named Vail that passed away in a motorcycle accident in Boston in the summer of 2012. Around that time Charlie was beginning to get pretty big on Youtube and Vail told him he was confident that Charlie would be writing songs for movies one day. "See You Again" is Charlie's first contribution to a movie soundtrack and it is a dedication to both Paul and our friend Vail, who both passed in vehicular accidents.

Anyways, this song means a lot to me both as a dedication to a lost friend and as a major stepping stone in another's career. I am glad people like it so much.

I honestly don't understand this.
Yes, the FF franchise has been entertaining and I've enjoyed them, but they aren't amazing.
Yes, Paul Walker's death was tragic, but it's not like he was one of Hollywood's great actors. Even if he was, I don't understand people's emotional connection to celebrities.
Maybe I'm just dead inside or maybe it's just because I missed an hour of FF7 (had to deal with a emergency at work. Still saw the last 10 min or so), but I don't understand it.

Yeah, honestly after the first one it went downhill imo. The second was the worst. Really poor follow up of the 2nd. Then the 3rd they just abandoned all the characters and plot for a tenacious d style movie. That said 3 was sweet watching everyone drift their moms mini vans around the parking lot.
I'm not even sure why paul walkers death was more tragic than other deaths. I can understand more people caring as more people know who paul walker is than some random guy going about his random life but still.
I'll probably watch it when it's on tv. The last few seemed to become your standard heist films with some ridiculous stuff that doesn't make much sense and the rock their for whatever reason.
That said, I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time bitches.

That being said, if a member of say the Harry Potter cast past away unexpectedly then you can imagine the out poor from both the cast and the fans of the series. Same with Paul walker and the fast and the furious series

None of us knew him personally but his vibes made everyone feel a connection to him. In the car community it was so cool to see an actor actually be passionate about the vehicles the same way we are about ours.
He was such a caring guy and it shows. ROWW and through his personality just give off his friendliness. Paul was a celebrity but to us was another enthusiast who shared the same passion.
Over the releases of Fast and Furious movies, the relationship grew with his character and his ideas behind it. He had a lot to put into the choice of cars and mods and that was awesome. The series without him would have not been even relevant. Having passion is touching and everyone could see Paul's passion for cars.
He shared the same love of rare/jdm/euro cars that many of us dream about owning. He did not brag that he could have them, I'm sure he would be stoked for a kid to come check out his car collection. And the real important part, he would check out that kid's not fancy car with the same interest.

the most fascinating part about Paul Walker's death is how many people actually care so much. don't get me wrong, it is sad and i wouldn't wish that on anyone. but it's still weird how many everyday people seem so attached to this guy. like someone above said he's not one of hollywoods great actors (wouldn't matter if he was really) and the fast movies are just action porn maybe a level above transformers (not really memorable even though ive only seen 3 of them)
