I still am a relatively undecided voter. However, Paul Martin's recent proposed 'ban' on handguns is laughable.

Their gun registry that was supposed to cost 2 million dollars has not yet been completed, and cost them 1 BILLION dollars so far.

Now Martin goes off and says that 'handguns kill people'. No Paul, people kill people. And there are already extreme limitations on the ownership of handguns.

So what is the purpose, the ulterior motive if you will, of this proposed ban on handguns?
 
dont ban guns , thats a stupid idea. they should do whatchirs rock said. charge a shitload of cash for bullets.
 
They are all a bunch of liars and cheaters and they never stand up for human rights at all. They say all these things and they never deliver
 
I agree that it's a bunch of bullshit. Registering guns does NOT help a goddamn thing. Obviously if you have to register your gun you're going to go kill someone with an illegal, unregistered one. Anyone could tell you that.

According to my political advisor, Mr. Matthew McEnery both the Conservatives and the NDPs believe that they should stop all of this shit and increase border security to stop the flow of illegal guns into Canada because that's what people are using for murders.

This shit is rediculous.
 
Ahahaha yeah i just read that this afternoon, i have no idea what hes thinking! I mean the gun registry was such a bad idea and i thought the fact that it ended up being so rediculously over budget and that so many people were pissed off about it would be reason enough for Paul Martin to just not even talk about guns through-out his election campaign. Hes just giving ammo (pardon the pun) to the opposition! And as for what hes thinking? who knows, my guess would be hes trying to be "tough" especially considering he annouced his plan in Toronto which has been having such problems with violence.
 
lol definately, unno not old enough to vote but it'll definately be conservative when i do, although Harper has the appearance of a douche, they need someone else in charge, like mckay, and maybe they could take the government. but yeah, who knows, the ppl may just be stupid enough to let a handgun ban fly, that will make the americans happy *rolls eyes
 
hes just saying that stuff because he needs the votes, look where is his. he's in toronto. there have been like over 10 murders in the past year in one neighbourhood. hes trying to enstill some confidence. unfornately im not voting for him or harper.
 
Not a terrible idea if he approaches it correctly.

Make it a huge fine to be caught with one and a large amount of jail time. Hand guns have only one purpose, to kill people. It isn't an efficient hunting weapon. So banning them could do no harm.

But knowing Paul Martin, he will find a way to spend millions of dolars tracking down every individual handgun. The money of which he will launder through his offshore account and then pay his friends an absurd amount of money to round up the guns.
 
Look at who this law is going to affect. People who use hand guns for traget practise and recreational use. Criminals that use hand guns are most likely unregisterd, and if they are going to commit a crime, why would they listen to this law as opposed to any other? Another terrible idea comming from the liberal party if you ask me
 
I own quite a few guns, I am a responsible gun owner. I shoot at ranges and out in the desert sometimes. honestly what's the problem? It's a hobby of mine and I personally don't see it as a big deal at all, people blow this whole "guns" thing way out of proportion. There are a milllion and one ways to kill someone, yes guns are conveinient but if you look at the stats most murders and shootings are CRIMINALS with black market/illegal handguns. I get upset when people start blaming guns for the worlds problems. blame dipshits for the worlds problems not guns
 
I would almost support a gun ban. After you put millions of people out of jobs that work in the gun industry and take away guns from all the legal owners in america, I would love to see the look on those assholes faces when gun crime doesn't go down at all
