Pat's Peak Park Update 12/11/10

i hate the new park.... the wall ride is gay and the jib tubes r all wierd. but i am happy that they kept the stairset in and the a frame in
 
Ehh.. I like the wallride....as long as it isn't icy. Hit it from the qp part and do a wall plant like thing on it. The rainbow rail is actually still fun I just always hit it from the side though and not straight on. I wish that rail was longer and not so raindbowy though
 
I'm not liking the new park either. bring last years back. jumps were a little close but still was fun.

yea i hear ya guys..

i think next year they should do a 3 jump line and maybe try to fit more rails in at the top. sounds dumb but it can be done. then a 3 rail line at the bottom and they should have a really fun and flowy park next year
 
I had a waterville pass last year, and the competitions every other week started to piss me off because I couldn't ski the days I wanted to, I'm thinking of going back to gunstock next year cause they have really stepped it up since 2 years ago when I last had a pass there
 
im pretty sure they dont...

i have a loon sunday river and sugarloaf pass too. but i get pats one for the days i dont go to loon. and for night ski. and its closer and only like 10 for gas where loon for me in like 23 24 bucks now with higher gas prices

- i say at top. from right to left we should have. the flat down. the battle ship (actually dug in with a better jump on aka. away from the rail a little bit) then maybe a cannon rail? yea cannon rail

- the jumps. idk what to do with those. they r actually kinda nice now.

- move the dfd over and try to put in a down rail. next to it.

- i like the idea of a flat corrugated tube. after the jump line too. kinda how it was set up over x mas break. (street style)

- then the stairset is nice i like that

- the hitching post i dislike but lots of ppl seem to do it so u guys will probably keep that.

these ideas probably suck dont they
 
Busted a rib in the F5 park today. I'm really bummin and could use some vibes from you guys. It's acually the same box that NHfreeskier11$ sessioned in his edit. Breathing and coughing is so painful and it's the second season in a row that i've gotten wrecked.

At least i'll be able to rip some groomers in a short while.

and thanks tyler. and yea theres that one lifty that needs to chill about getting on and getting off. he always calls everyone his brotha lol... no one cares about getting on other than him
 
The park is pretty fun, BUT maybe make the lip onto the rainbow rail wider so you can hit it better from the side. Re-do the lip to the A-frame rail and make it the same steepness as the rail and also so it isn't ride on. Set up the trap rail on a higher roller with a lip that isn't ride on. And just pray the groomers do a good job on the jumps.
 
PS Pat's Prairie is about to get shit on with rain so I'm foreseeing some park damage as usual at this time of the year. Hopefully they know how to groom in unusual conditions.
 
hahahahahahaha that guy thinks he is the shit, I will get to the bottom and he will be like," yo brotha those were some sick tricks! You should see me tear up the groomers on the weekend." then he will go on to yell at people for "cutting" in line
 
How did Pat's fair from the rain? I assume it did some major damage considering they are Pat's Peak and all but I hope for the best. I might go after school Wednesday so if anyone goes tomorrow and wants to let me know how it was feel free!

but in all honesty just get rid of all the jumps cause they are pretty shitty and make a decent jib park. I have not been to pats in a while, but last time I was there there were 4 different rails lined up next to each other at the top so you had to pick 1/4... why not line these one after another so you can hit more features in a run. If they do keep the jumps, set the cannon box over in F5 off the first jump on the right I think it would be sick. And last but not least, I think they should get rid of F5 and focus completly on turbulence and get more features put up, there is plenty unused room over there.
 
Great idea here. How about instead of the dual jumps next to each other, 2/3 jumps on one side of turbulence and like 10 rails in a row in the other side. Basically split it in two the long way and have one side be jumps and one be rails. Sure youd had to pick one type of skiing each run but it would be sooo much sicker and youd get to hit a ton of rails. FUCK YEAH!
 
I was a damn fool and tried to go night skiing yesterday. Anyways when we pulled in they had the cat in the park moving shit around. couldnt really see anything though
 
It's Pats, and late-ish season... the landings are pretty damn flat, the jumps are getting smaller, but the lips are still in decent shape. Grabbed fives or hucked sevens on both of the two left jumps.
 
cant be at railjam... got a concussion on sunday =(... i would go to film or something but im to lazy to drive and such
 
is the railjam still only snowboarders...? and that rainbow rail better still be up cause ive been wanting to hit it all year but I havnt been up there in over a month now
 
Boys spring season is upon us. Pats will continue to get shittier. I want to go sunday for the rail jam but I heard its only for snowboarders. That would be pretty fucking ridiculous if its true considering how many more skiers there are this year.
 
Maybe... if you can get a ride to Concord... and promise not to blaze near me, my parents have noticed it when my friends have and ask about the smell.
