Pat's Peak Park Update 12/11/10

Singles line is the way to go. Five minutes tops, 15 minute max lap time. Also, I prefer the final jump. I haven't hit it since the rebuilding though.

Matt, on the park crew, told me they are puting together a shit load of boxes for a monster 80 foot box in the rail jam. is this true? sounds sick!!

I'm steering clear of pats this w/e though... hitting up the big air bag at gunstock. hopefully they'll keep the rail jam all set up nxt week at Pats.

My bro had race training today and said they set up like all of the boxes as a giant flat down. The pictures on pats' facebook looks pretty retarded. Other thing I guess they made a butter pad to the yellow rail which sounds sick

yeah I was up there today, the butter pad to yellow rail looked pretty sick, they had an up rail which would have been pretty sick except for the fact that there was no jump onto it, they had a wierd setup with the corregated tubes (im not really sure what they were trying to do) The monster box looked kinda fun but its a waste of features and I think they just got lazy... would have been way sicker with all those features set up seperatly, the megabox consisted of 2 of the normal flat boxes, the flat down box, and 2 smaller wider flat boxes if i recall correctly from my memory

ahhhhh. Pats has the potential to make such a sick park especially for such a small mountain and yet they just do pretty much the same boring thing every year because they are lazy as fuck. I've been in the customer service industry a few times and when multiple people make a suggestion usually you change to accommodate but it seems like pats just ignores everyone and does what they want. I think thats why Im done skiing there because its just always a disappointment.

they have the hill climb thing on sat? or sunday idk which one. but pretty much there so gay that they closed cuz of it

id go sunapee. they have more stuff gunstock sets there rails up kinda wierd and there park doesnt have any flow at all... sunapee u can hit a bunch of rails and jumps in every run

also true lol... i wish gunstocks park was up sooner though. plus they had there main jump line and then 2 rails like second weekend in january... i feel as if they should put in a bunch of rails then focus on the jumps.

True I guess.. their jumps are like hitting cliffs.. your feet just leave the ground and then slowly touch back down, I find it strange

Not sure if I should get one. I enjoy waterville just as much and it's closer. But the loon pass I can use at loon AND SR...

And that is why I may get one next year, SR early season and vacations and Loon the rest of the time. Can't really beat it other than the business of Loon.

yea the new england pass is loon SR and sugarloaf. and if you do 10 days at the 3 mtns its worth it

Lapping the loon park is pretty easy, granted it's not the poma, but 15 minute laps on a relatively busy day can easily be achieved.

The new england gold pass is $739. That has no blackout dates on it. Only worth it if you go 13+ times on weekends. Or else it'd be better to just get a frequent skier card and buy tickets that way

yea fischers suck lol... and i think there like 579 for teen with like 10 blackout dates (days you cant go and ski) but the dates arent bad cuz there holidays and its mobbed anyways so theres almost no point in going anyways... but there arent any blackout dates in the last like 2 months of the season so it isnt a big deal for spring skiing which is when loon has there best stuff and its the most fun with the least lines

Yeah, that's the silver pass. And it's 13 blackout days. But I go up to SR for christmas break and such so it's either gold pass or frequent skier card

yea thats true. i think its 719 for the gold. so it'd probably worth it. just check the site average lift ticket to SR and loon is like 65 bucks for teen and just do the math out

Frequent skier cards cost like 90 bucks. You use it on tickets and it's something like $25 off tickets during the week and like $15 off during weekends and holidays I think

All you guys that went to pats this year and were disappointed I would highly suggest going to crotched next year. the park is way better and more skier friendly, jumps are well built. You can get a pass over the summer for like $300 so its not that much more than pats

yea what purple dino said about the skier pass

the seasons pass is good during NH vacation week so ull be all set there

Pat's is about a 10-15 minute drive for me. Crotched is up around 30 minutes plus. I don't mind just sticking with Pats

loons park is always so nice. never am disappointed. except when the stair set isn't open

kanc laps all day long
