Patriot fan depression/venting thread.

okay, this thread pertains to those in the new england region only. giants fans gtfo. today was a horrible day, i could not get my mind off of last nights game and its truly just eating away at my heart. who is having the same experience?

i have no good answer for you, all i can say is im a die hard boston sports fan, like honestly what is the problem with that? haters gonna hate i guess...im sticking with my teams.

dont get me wrong, I too am a boston sports fan. however last nights game didnt hit me hard enough to think about it all today. I like skiing but didnt morn the day after xgames cause my fav skier didnt win.

the pats will be dope next year. I think BB will finally get a big fast physical reciever and most of the team is young. tom coughlin will probably die within the year too so thats a plus

yeah dude but skiing is a totally different thing. theres no intense rivalries, its not as big of a spectacle as the superbowl, and its not like a city against another city. plus skiing is way more fun then football so if you dont win its okay...

i just wanted the patriots to win so the broncos could have at least said they got thumped by the team that won the superbowl.

I am a die hard patriots fan don't get me wrong but by the end of the game I really wasn't mad that they lost, they played like shit they should have had a 40 point game but they blew it. They didn't play like champions they didn't deserve to win.

Sounds like someone needs a reality check. It's a professional sports game. It has literally NO bearing on the outcome of your life, unless you lost your life savings in a bet, can't pay back the loan shark, and he kills you...but that's a story for another day. Get the fuck over it, it's a game. A fucking game.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

don't mean to intervene, thought he had a quality post.....

you should watch other sports....like curling....or Frisbee...something less... suspenseful.

I know how you feel man. The excitement of a great season destroyed in one fucking shitty game.

I'm so disappointed. Also it doesn't help that I was wearing a Welker jersey when he missed that catch.

If he had caught the fucking ball they would have won. The shame was nearly unbearable.

brady threw a shitty pass, don't blame the dropped pass, nevermind the game, on welker. as a whole the team didn't play well, it wasn't just the receiving core either.

I disagree with this whole statement. Brady was throwing fantastic passes and getting the ball were it needed to be it was that the receiver for the patriots did not come through and just could not catch the ball therefore costing them the game...

oh cry me a fucking river. deal with it.

the patriots have so many super bowl wins, shit dude, so do the rest of your sports team. get over it. at least you have something.

besides that, the nfl fucking sucks. it is absolutely nothing compared to college football.

Living in New England with no good college football, I disagree with this completely. Theres very little parity in college football, and the BCS is the stupidest fucking system and is totally biased towards the SEC. I mean, did anybody outside alabama want to watch that boring rematch of a boring game. I like college football, but the NFL is so much better.

On to the thread topic, last night was a fucking gut punch losing to that team again. Brady's pass was not a shitty pass by any means. Brady put that pass on welker's back shoulder and put enough air under it to allow welker the time to adjust, welker just didn't make the play. If you were to criticize Brady for anything on that play, it would be that he should have gotten rid of it earlier, because then it would have been a real easy 15 yards for welker. But that safety was a killer. 9 point swing right there to start the game. Bradys got to check down on that play

I probably do care way too much about this as people were saying above, but this game is going to haunt me for the next week or so. I honestly wish I could just forget about it and move on.

Well you pretty much established the main reason why you think the nfl is better with your first sentence...merely because you dont have a team to go for. With BC as pretty much the only option, I dont blame you.

Comparing the nfl to college football with parity is dumb. College football (FBS) has 120 teams, of which about 70 are in bcs conferences. They play 12 regular season games. It's kinda hard to compare that to the nfl with a lot less teams and more games.

BCS does suck, but it doesn't define the sport.

Yes, it, and espn are biased toward the SEC. it sucks. That championship game sucked too. you cant judge college football with one year, you can't even judge it based on the sec domination that has happened the last 6/7 or so years.

College football has tradition and soul that the nfl will never match. Most of the time they play in stadiums that are super old with cool histories, with names like Jordan Hare, Bobby Dodd, bryant-denny, wallace wade. In the nfl, you cant have a stadium over 30 years old (there are a couple suggestions) and they have names like bank of america stadium, sports authority field, fedex field, etc.

In the nfl, teams can leave cities, and tradition cannot be established like it is in college football.

Only a few teams in the nfl have some sort of valuable tradition. I can find about 20 cfb teams for each of those.

that specific play, from brady to welker, he threw it behind him. wasn't a good pass. that's what I meant. the rest of the game, the pats did nothing special to help them win. the giants, in general, played better. it wasn't those 3 plays that cost the patriots, or however many drops there were

your a fucking dumbass and clearly know nothing about football. the ball hit welker in the fucking hands, he makes that grab that he should have made, patriots win the game. so stfu and gtfo.

/rant.

because it hits you on the hands doesn't mean it's your fault for a drop. also, fuck off, that wouldn't have won the game ms cleo

Outside of the SEC college football is basically a scrimmage. I mean come on the defenses are absolute shit.... most of the games scores end up looking like a basketball game.

I do agree that there is a lot of tradition and the kids play hard because they are playing for school spirit and pride instead of money. But don't get it twisted the level of play is like a not even close to the professionals. (and on a side note there is a ton of tradition in the NFL as well)

no you're wrong, there is a rule in football with receivers, if the ball hits you in the hands, you have catch it...there is no excuses.

That being said, dude suck it up....seriously in the last 10 years the pats have won 3 times, the red sox twice, the celtics once and the bruins once.

that is 7 championships in the last 10 years...all 4 major sports teams have won for you guys....so shut the fuck up and take a loss....I hate boston fans.
