I down a big ass bowl of pesto macaroni before I go on a long tour or bike ride. Literally life changing. It's like I have unlimited energy. I feel like I'm gonna die after eating all that macaroni and you gotta poop before you leave the house the next morning but that shit gives you superpowers.

Even skiing with lifts like if you carbo load and don't drink the night before, you can ski hard af bell to bell. Your muscles might feel it after but you won't run out of gas (probably)

Most grocery stores have a bakery that has a sourdough starter batch it keeps going like the Olympic flame. They take a bit to make each day's fresh bread and have a process to keep the starter fed
