Past Pro's - Where are they now?

Ok, its summer and this forum needs some life. So, heres a little game to play and test your knowledge. Skiing has had many pro's over the years since twin tips took off. Sadly, many of these once heroes have faded away, eclipsed by newcomers who dare to push the limits further. So, where have these old pro's gone? What are they doing now that you dont see them in Ski Movies?

So, lets get it going. I'll name a few old pro's, and find out where they've gone since thier glory days. (Bonus points for any members who know this without having to research!)

Some Pro's to start with:

-Shannon Schad

-Mike Nick

-Brendan Buchar (Hes in the credits of SM2, and tweaks his grabs more so than TJ)

JF's trying to be a golf pro, I think Shannon owns a construction company, Mike Nick runs Siver, Evan's still fighting his knee, Dion is the Dynastar international team manager I think, and Szocs runs High North. No idea on the rest. I think Mercon and Skogen are still skiing.
 
i know mike laroch went to uni, and yeh i think evan is hoping to come back to skiing when his knee is better.
 
haha yea i was gonna say him too!! i loved his segment in sm3 and then he just kinda disappeared

and yea mike laroche.. he kinda disappeared too
 
brendan buchar got a girlfriend that took over his life then he started partying way to much and kinda fell off the face of the earth. every once in a while he comes to ski at the local ski hill but he is a washed up skier
 
Mike Nick runs Siver full time. He has a wife and kids on the way.....offically retired from comps.

Phil Dion is team manager for Dynastar. He runs the teams, and helps designs the skis, also offically retired from comps.
 
Shane Scozes ( i know i spelt his name wrong) runs HN full time, and helps K2 design skis as part of their Legend team.
 
i heard shawn sullivan got straight f-ed up after his sm3 segment. Like serious injury stuff, like back, knee, leg, something crazy like that.

Paul cotter still kills it to this day. He can do 360 spin slids f-in rails for christ sakes. and instead of doin mute grab slides, he does mute slides. his skis are crosses and he slides and then grabs. he kills it.
 
Leif is teaching for CoC i believe, and Fontana is like some upper management guy for the Canadian Freestyle something or other last i heard.

this is a good thread. what about kreitler, micah black, nobis, those big mountain dudes still with TGR?
 
kreitler is with rage I guess. micah black is with tgr. nobis is/was with tgr but I think he is going to jail
 
Boyd retired and is in Newps learning to surf, Laroche is back in Tahoe skiing a bit I might add (for a big guy he has sick rail steeze), Skogen is Skating for the summer, and JF is in Tahiti drinking KoolAid with Vodka
 
and preparing for the 4th of july. i can feel the general potential entropy level building in these parts. its party time on tues...
 
hopefully making a comeback, his switch pipe wasd ahead of it's time. and he still coaches at high north i believe.
 
Turpin is still here in Whistler ripping it up, he doesn't seem to film much anymore though. No ones mentioned Rex Thomas so I'll throw him out there, for those that aren't aware he's here in Whis too but he's pretty busy as the Atomic Team manager.I'm sure more people will come to me but for the time being heres a few more to add to the list.

Thats sweet that philou is into biking though, that kind of seems to be a trend with skiers.
 
They finally realised that being sponcerd showing up for comps and making money of endorsments isnt the only thing in life. Just like Pep is curintly doing same with Mark Abma.. they just arew ordinary skiers now. some are putting back into the sprot that has given them so much.
 
Skogen and dash are still killin it.

They were on the TGR film tour. Had some beers with the duo down at the Redhook brewery in NH. Sounded like things were working out for them pretty well.
 
DUI, evading the police, destruction of property, the list is long and he has some serious jail time I heard that this was like his 3 or 4th DUI
