by 2020 they are hopeing to have electronic passports where all your info is stored in a small chip inside the passport so identity theft is much harder (you can paste a pic into someone elses passport. to avoid people hacking into the chip and stealing the persons identity they are going to put a sheet of lead around the entire thing and when you open it the person checking the passport can access the info and only him. this is a worldwide thing but the US is initiateing it. gov officials may have it by '12

When's the last time someone's captured taliban members in afghanistan with diagrams of canadian water systems? i could go on forever,but oh yeah, none of that has happened to canada. now i realize that canada has an unofficial "we wont fuck with anyone so nobody fucks with us" policy but we have every reason to require passports to enter our country. i had to have a passport everywhere i went in europe and i didnt bitch about it. live with it.

yea, im a french citizen, i was born there and i grew up and lived there for what, 12 years i think? and i have american nationailty since both my parents are american...

yea, so whereabouts in france did/do you live?

i was born in Lyon, and i grew there, then about 7 years ago i moved to annecy, lived there for 6 years, and i've been living here in sweden for a year.

Im lucky that I went to NY last year. When I think of it the trips will be cancelled in 2008.

ahh cool..my grandma moved here (america) when she was a teen so i have cousins that live there mostly in paris and orleans, they also have a summer house of the southern part of france i dont remember exactly where. i was almost born in france that would be cool if i was haha....so ya been there 6 times aleady it was awesome

Last 2 times I went to canada I needed a passport so it seems to be them canadians have been doin it to us longer. It really isnt a big deal either way its gettin to that point where it should be required!!

What they need is to make the passport that is a chip and implant it in our fingertip so we can just do a thumb print as our passport!!

what's the big deal? Is it hard to get a canadian passport or something? They arent that expensive and they're pretty damn useful if you want to leave the coutry.
