some of the most amazing visual imagery ive seen in a long time. the composition of character placement in the frames is incredible in places. eveything was done on purpose in that film.

i suggest the movie to all those sado masochists out there who enjoy 15 minute long scenes of people being flogged bloody. strangely my mom loved the damn movie although shes not even catholic

To the Catholic kid who said he doesnt like the views of the movie being pushed on others: I saw it and i actually interpreted the movie as anti-humanity and almost anti-religion. If you really comtemplate what happens to Christ, you realize he is killed (as millions have been over the past thousands of year) because of the 'My god is better than your god' machoism thinking.

Unfortunately, after sitting in the movie theater lobby for half an hour with one of my friends discussing the characters, the action, the symbolism and the themes of the movie, neither he nor i could understand how someone who is even mildly intelligent could interpret that as a pro-Catholocism film. He and I are both atheists, just to let you know.

it shows jesus beign killed yeah no shit tons of people will killed that way. they gave no reason in that movie why. you are righ on the my god is better tahtn yoru god thing. if mel had shown why jesus was killed. it might be diferant. its just a snuf film. a n s&m porno. i feel that this movie is only going to brign out hatrid towrds jew but case athiats to give us catholics more hell.
