Pass pulled for riding park

Ok so here's the story ,

Me and a buddy were riding Wachusett , as we are committed season pass holders. Wachusett being the cheap fucks they are , charge you 5 dollars if you decide you want to ride in the park. Make you watch a safety video and all that shit like your about to go skydiving. Anyways , me and my bud ski right on though, and the park security guard or whateevr his title is , yells to check if we he have park passes. Headphones are in deep on my buddy and he cruises by and doesn't hear the dude. I stop , show him I have season pass but not a park pass, he said I was all set. I told him that my buddy has headphones in and can't hear. He radios down to security and as soon as my boy hits the bottom , and gets grabbed by ski patrol . Ski patrol puts his hands on my bud and rips his pass off in front of everyone. I see this happening and run over and I'm tryna defend by bud , apparently that's another reason to pull your pass .not only did this guy take my pass , he grabbed me and rips my pass off. Now a crowd of security "guards" come over and start a big

Fuss. Accused us of being drunk and acting reckless (we were sober), we get pulled into the security office , and a policeman was brought to confirm our sobriety. Proved him wrong and played the innocent card , which we were technically .

Long story short we lost out season passes which we payed good cash for , all Becuase we rode park :(

These are the kinda dudes who take the fun out of skiing man . Sorry for the rant .

If you have a seasons pass and know you're going to be riding park often why not just get a park pass? It's like 10 minutes out of your day for the entire season.

Yeah Wachusett fucking sucks lol i drove like 3 hours to go there once and all the people i met upon arriving in the parking lot were fucking n00bs and the management was even bigger n00bs.

Sounds like you were both fucktards... so... you reap what you sow.

Well the dude put his hands on me , yeah I wasn't the nicest dude ever after that , but chill

its 5 dollars and you don't even have to watch a video. Seriously took me 2 minutes at customer service the day park opened.

Get a lawyer. Wachusett is a shit hole and their management seems like a bunch of dumb fucks.

Do you seriously think that op could afford to get a lawyer for a relatively small incident

dont get a lawyer thats retarted since your buddy did technically break their rules, thats all that matters legally they can pull your pass Im sure you signed into it when you bought it.

not the point homie, guy put his hands on me

thanks i didn't know that

well the terrain park is for snowboarders only, so you had that going against you too. Why wouldn't you go actually ski instead of wasting your time in the snowboard park with your headphones 'in deep.'

you sound like when of them no good hooligans; I doubt they will miss your worthless ass.

Sounds like blue mountain, over priced and older staff are complete dicks. A lifty wanted me to put my pass on the outside of my coat but i explained how i couldn't cause the pass was cracked and there was no way of attaching it. So i show him my pass and he doesn't bother to look at it he just ripped it out of my hands and told me to pay 50$ for a new pass cause it was slightly cracked. after a 5 minute argument he finally gave me my pass back but made me take off my helmet, face mask and goggles to prove it was me, Blue Mountains shit. (plus the pass was over 600$ for a sick 800ft mountain of solid ice and tourists that can't ski) Anyways that sucks you lost your pass man

Sounds likes nonsense. I skied there once last season and had no issue with park security. Is this a new thing? Regardless sorry bout your pass bro

thats shitty. try and get it back.

my brother almost got his day pass taken at the old COP in calgary where they had park passes. all because he cut in through a hole in the fence to get the glove i dropped haha

They can't legally put their hands on you.

The park pass thing generally isn't about money as much as keeping noobs out of the park. That said I've never gotten one even at mountains that require it.

Idk. Just saying he can get his pass back. Threaten to sue for being assaulted and detained by the staff.

So I like how everyone on here bitches about gapers in the park and always says thing like, "It's too dangerous, something needs to be done, I can't stand it anymore..." and so on. Even though the patrols sounded like dickheads, just pay the five bucks and cooperate with them.

It's 5 bucks for what I assume is the whole season..

Just get a park pass. It's 5 bucks and literally takes 5 minutes for a whole season with no hassle from the park crew. Sometimes they check, other times they don't, you just happened to get pretty unlucky.

Also what do you expect when your friend cruises through without even acknowledging that the guys checking passes. I get that the patrol over reacted, but if you guys have been to wachusett before, then you should know better than to piss the park crew off.

We used to plead for the park pass back in the days when I skied more park. Those things are a HUGE gaper filter. It keeps away all the 5 years olds snow plowing down the landing and lets you lap it more.

Fight to get your pass back and then take five minutes to get your park pass.

That's some bull shit. You deserve your passes back, and most likely an apology for their ridiculous reaction.

I had that done with a Day Pass at Mt. Snow a while back. Patroller just ripped it right off my coat like he should have the right to basically assault people on the hill for going "too fast". Thank god that was my last run.

I grew up skiing Wachusett and can tell you that the amount of serious injury/death that goes on there has seriously gone down. As much as I hated the park pass it definitely serves a purpose and educates the non-educated on park etiquette.

THIS. even though you were in the wrong for not having a park pass, they assaulted you and you could probably fight it. Threaten them with a lawsuit.

That really sucks for u but I mean I would never fucking go there if my local hill was cheap bastards and charged an extra 5 bucks to get in to the park I would drive the extra half hour and go to a hill that likes it's costumers

Sorry it was a joke. But ya wachusett is in Mass aka Shithole. Bunch of dumb liberals so not suprised they pulled your pass for something that's not a big deal. That's why u drive to NH pal. Live Free or Die! AKA Ski Free or Die!

So many asshat comments in here.

You guys are idiots thinking Wachusett is trying to stiff arm park skiers and pinch your wallets.

The park program helps the park. A cheap one time fee per season KEEPS GAPERS OUT.

In life you learn to expect people to push the limits of their authority. Don't push these people. Take the high road and be cool.

OP's friend is a punk and got punk'd.

I've been skiing Wachusett my whole life. Relative to one session, 10 minutes to get a pass is not a fucking issue. Also, your buddy skied right by the park attendant like a dick knowing exactly what he was doing. You both knew exactly what you were doing. You both knew the rules, you both knew you needed a park pass. You were being lazy and too fucking cool for school to take the time to get it. Meanwhile, a park pass program does wonders for the park. You were disrespectful to the mountain and its employees. I'm not saying anyone was within their right putting their hands on you or your friend, but you thinking you're too fucking cool to need to get park pass and follow fairly basic rules is absurd. You could have very easily avoided the entire scenario. Get a park pass next time.

5 dollars per pass per park rider is not even 1% of their annual revenue, guaranteed. A lift ticket is literally fucking 12x that. How are you children so fucking stupid? I guarantee you've gone inside and dropped 10 bucks on a burger and a drink. So $5 to ride the park for an entire season is nothing to fucking sneeze at. It means every single rider watches a safety video and learns park etiquette. Wachusett's park has been much safer as a result.

I would consider my self as much of a wachusett local as can be and i can tell OP is a dumbfuck and probably one of the gapers who complain about spending $5 on a park pass but then go inside and drop $10 on a burger and fries. You have to be stupid as hell to think they charge the $5 to make money, they do that so the weekend warriors who come for one day dont buy a park pass. Dont feel bad at all that you and your "bud" got your passes pulled as the park will be a better place without you two.

Dsmn dude. Did your cat get hit by a car, you failed your science test, your parents grounded you, you broke your ankle, and other stuff today?

You seem like you butt chugged a little too much of the haterade.

Me and my buddies were out and I did a nollie on a roller when I was going to lunch ski patrol pulled me over and started yelling and ripped of my park pass and my day pass so I went to customer service and said I lost them the guy was chill and hey replaced both of them for free

So glad I'm Canadian.

two words: Black Park.

Canada aint free either...

Sorry OP...sucks for you. Ski hills are insured up the ass in so many different ways. You broke the rules...you must pay the price doesn't matter how ridiculous it seems. Next time perhaps you sack up and pay $5 bucks to ride the park. Is $5 really going to kill you man?

In Revelstoke ski patrol generally doesn't give a fuck and I tap slow and merge signs when they're near rollers all the time. They only really care on Saturdays and just say don't do it again. I almost want to go somewhere like silver star again and hit the whiskey jack rollers while ski patrol is there, then ski away and pretend not to hear them yelling.

As for this thread, I had to buy a park pass once and it was inconvenient, but not as inconvenient as having to poach a park every time you wanna hit it.

I would say that you need your pass and that it is your fault but it is really dumb that you were okay but your friend wasn't and I'm on your side because of that.
