Pass Dilemma (Vermont)

So, I'm not from Vermont... this will be my first season living and riding here as a freshman at UVM. Basically I know little to nothing about any of the mtns up here. All I know is I want to ride a lot this season.

My decision comes down to either a pass to Stowe for $375 or the Triple Major pass (jay, mad river, bolton) for $259. I have friends going both ways. Good friend with a car that is doing triple but UVM runs buses on weekends. I also my have more access to a car going whatever way I want after thanksgiving. I feel like I just dont know enough about the resorts to make a decision and I've been changing my mind by the minute so any imput would be amazing.

Get the triple major. Jay Peak is sick its the best east of the mississippi in my opinion, plus bolton is mad close. Hit me up if you need a ride for first chair on any powder day, im over in the redstone apartments.

I made the commitment on thursday and bought the triple major. So ill probably be taking you up on that offer. Im so anxious for the damn snow to come

good call, thats what im gettin. it really comes down to whether you are a park rat or not, cuz if you r then stowe is where u wanna go. but if u really wanna rip, then go triple

is this a serious question. get the triple hands down. mad river is crazy jay peak has sick tree skiing idk about bolton ive never been there

good call. Jay is just amazing. Every year u ride there it gets better cuz u find more and more stashes. The only thing that sucks is every year u have to go a little further.

jay will open sat the 17th...Triple major is def. the way to go. I will be at bolton prolly 3 nights a week and jay twice. Stowe's park is nice but bolton's is only 25mins away and is completly lit up...The jumps may not be as nice but they have some sick rails set up and you can ride 4 nights a week

a little late to help decisions

but whatever

i would have to disagree with you there.

it took me two years of going to uvm for me to realize that i had no choice to go to stowe,

but its definately the way to go, even though it is 100 more.

1. Stowe has everything, park bumps, lots and lots of technical woods skiing and of course the out of bounds terrain.

2. Stowe is not that far.

3. Stowe has a sick scene

Reasons why i think the triple major is not the way to go unless you can only ski nights.

1.Jay peak is sick, without a doubt, but its a haul, the weather is absurdly windy so its not always that fun, plus, its pretty cheap for a day pass so if i get jealous i just go up there and buy a ticket.

2. Mad River -really sick terrain, but unless its a epic winter most days you wont be frequenting there.

Plus every pow day youll have to decide wether to go to jay or the river.

3.Bolton-its close pretty fun, and as a triple major pass holder will be the place you most likely ski the most(especially midweek) but more likely than not, many days you will be wishing you could drive the extra distance to go rip stowe.

Espcially if you dont have a car, stowe is the easiest mountain to get to, and in my opinion, the best overall resort in vermont
