I want the ultimate college experience...so party schools what are some party schools by the beach that aren't shit?

I believe the list was:

1) Austin-Texas

2) Penn State

3) West Virginia

...and so on. None really have greatest skiing, though.

Its been real good here at WMU but from what I hear is that its down from previous years...but we're working (partying) are hardest to keep a good reputation!

 
im pretty sure every party school claims that. cuz ive heard it bout wvu. but seriously wvu is amazing my bro goes there and i used to visit a bunch, everyone is super frienly and everyone gets super drunk. not close to beach but wisp is like 40 minutes away with a small but fun park.
 
o yea, we're not near any beaches but whatever...if you get drunk enough you could have a little beach party by the big pond on campus!
 
PENN STATE UNIVERSITY was ranked No. 2 party school in the nation..

Shits legit here...

We just had a Forum Snowboards premiere (THAT!) and over 700 kids showed up.. We had over 24 cases of free redbull too!

Oh and we threw an After Party at the Snowboard house with over 500 kids

10 kegs, 10 handles, 10 cases of red bull...

Alllll free!

How's that for a party school?
 
SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY i go to school 3 hrs a day tops. there is A LOT of partying to do if thats your deal. we are 2 and 1/2 hrs from the slopes and 10 minutes from like 5 beaches. its the best place ever
 
^ oh yeah its also a legit school for like learning stuff too. and its 15 minutes from mexico. playboy put us at #5 last year i think
 
ahh hellz yea. a couple of my friends go there they say they cant handle any more partying. that or like ucsb or some shit. its crzy everwhere though man just go to four year

K, I'm not going to try and be the asshole that says "you shouldn't base your college off party ranking"... not to mention, how the fuck do they rank schools? Amount of alcohol purchsed? Or does one person go to every school and attend a random party?

I go to Michigan State.. we have some kickass parties, partly because our Greek system is relatively big and those parties can be fun. Other wise we have huge block parties that are awesome too.

By the sounds of it, if you want a beach, and are smart, I recommend going to UCLA. I had an incredible time visiting my friend and partying. The people are super chill, the campus is beautiful, they party hard, and the academics are amazing if you can get in.

Or I'm sure any other California school would be fun.

From what I hear OSU has good parties and tons of concerts if you're into that scene.

Also, I believe, Ohio university was ranked #1 in playboy for parties.

I think if you just pick any major university, you're going to find good parties.
 
Western is alright, I live in kalamazoo and I go there sometimes. Up here at MSU is waaaay better tho. Either way I think i'm comin home this weekend and will be hittin up some WMU parties, should be pretty good.

And to everyone talkin about Penn State...Ya I know its way up on the list, I applied and almost went there (damn outta state tuition), and the whole point of my Playboy quote was that we aren't ON the list, we are ABOVE the list. It's probably not even true, just a funny joke. I love how everyone on NS has to rip everything aprat lol.

Michigan State's parties aren't that much better than any other schools. I also feel like that Playboy quote isn't real because I've only seen it in peoples AIM profiles or facebook or something.
 
That quote is sort of a urban legend at most schools. I've heard it all over the country. Turns out when Playboy did the first survey back in the day a lot of people bitched and wrote in saying their school should be up there. Playboy responded with that we don’t rank professionals BS to all of them, that’s why you hear it everywhere.

West Virginia is fun as hell. The skiing is kind of weak, but its not terrible. 7springs in an hour away and Snowshoe is 2 hours
 
the rating system for a party school has to be totally arbitrary. there's no real way to rank school based on parties. if you go to any big university, you'll find plenty to do. if you like the beach, pick any big university by the beach. likewise for the mountains.
 
I go to Colby. It's neither big nor known as a party school, but what else is there to do in rural Maine besides get drunk? Beer Die was started at Colby. And we are an hour from Sugarloaf. I love it here.
 
this true, playboy just gave that generic response to everyone so they would stop complaining.

i also go to michigan state and i agree that it is a damn good time here. really any big state university is going to be a fun for the most part. i've been to all of the big schools here in michigan to party as well as some others around the midwest and they all have advantages and disadvantages.
 
If you aren't an anti-social bitch you can have an extremely drunk and fun college experience at a LOT of schools. As long as the school is big enough you will find people who want to get belligerent just as much as you.

Regardless of any list, it's not like WVU is the only place people are blacking out and nailing chicks as they please. Trust me.

It's Sigma Phi, but yeah, will definitely be there haha. Kid next door to me is dressing up like a huge bag of weed, not sure what I'm doing yet, but I'll scrape something together by then. Name's Andrew.

i grew up 3 miles from michigan state (MSU) and now go to Montana State (MSU). Pretty much polar opposites in terms of parties. However i have been skiing since september here in Montana. back in michigan people dont start to think about skiing until late october.
 
Who picks their college based upon partying? Obviously every single college will have parties regardless of where. Faggot.
 
if you want parties and mountains i dont know about teh west coast but uvm (university of vermont dumbasses)is a good enough combo of parting and skiing
 
Colorado College, not CU that place is for fags... But seriously, block breaks are so sweet! There are so many hot girls here, i get layed like 56 time a week by totally smokin girls that are awesome skiers. there are practically no hippies here! check it
