Party busted,Hid from cops. am i introuble?

This person's pretty much right on. I think ohio's law is similar to indiana's for minors. If they can prove that you were at a party with alcohol then technically the cops can fine/get you in trouble. This rarely ever happens because more than often at busted parties, the cops will let the sober kids leave just being nice and bust the drunk ones.

I'd hide in a box for six to avoid getting an MIP.
I wouldn't worry about it. About the worst that could happen is they'd call yer folks and tell them you were at a party. Life will go on.

You probably may get approached if the girl is another brainwashed retard of this country (no offense to her its not her fault) that will rat on you. Dont try to lie unless your sure you can...I lied to the cops (Figuring they lie to us so we can lie to them), it didnt work out ( Arrested). But you probably dont have a record im geussing so your worst punishment would probably be diversion...Im not sure what the deal is for alcohol but you might get community service or a minimal fine.
 
Well i got some new news.. my parent have known about this from day 1 but tooday around 5:30 the cops called n said i was ratted out by students n parents. n saying something about me being charged with obstruction of justice. But i dont kno how they can go with testimonial evidence as charging some1. how come when some1 is drunk their evidence is completely ignored but when its kids that are drunk saying some1 was at a party its lookd into. no one knew where i was. they thought i left the party early. wtf
 
jea same thing happened with me like four weeks ago. i was a a small party, i went outside, i saw a cop car, i ran in the extended garage, told everyone the cops were there, we all booked it, they went inside the house i ran in the back yard, watched what happened then took this dirt path all the way to the other end o the neighborhood, finally got a ride home from some friends. got home my parents were suprised i was home, i told them that i couldnt sleep over at a friends, went upstairs thought i got away then someone texted my dads phone which i had been using, he saw the message and asked me to explain, because he smelt alcohol on my breath. i told him that i got away, then he just got angry because i didnt call for a ride home. but nothing has happened about it otherwise. by the way i was the only one who got away, everyone who ran in the house got consumption tickets

fuck that, tell them you werent even there. if they dont believe that then tell them even if you WERE there then you were just one of the several kids who ran. they cant prove shit, stay strong.
 
HOLY FUCK! Soooooo much drama over this. I've only heard/seen cops kicking people out, never busting doors down or camping out under decks, WTF? Shit sounds fucked south of the border.

Anyways, does anyone with a decent legal background know if cops are actually allowed to enter a house without permission? I don't think I ever remember a party where cops have actually come inside, they still kicked people out though.

Getting charged for consumption/possession? What the fuck is that? That's like charging a minor for possession of cigarettes (please don't tell me they can do that). Here if cops catch someone smoking a joint/drinking they'll probably just tell them to put it out or pour it. Every time the cops have busted a party I've been to I've just conversed rationally and answered their questions (if I've had to) or just peaced. No bullshit. Honestly I've never thought of booking it cause the cops here aren't out to get you like that.

Damn this thread has hit me hard I guess. I just think the police has better shit to do than fining and chasing kids weeks after parties, and find this shit I'm reading beyond ridiculous

alright so i got a lawyer cuz people were tellin me to not go get questioned with out 1. so my lawyer just said fuckoff were going to court you guys are pissed cuz you cudnt find a kid in a box.
 
They can fine you for being underage with a cigarrete. I've had friends ticketed for it.

But no, local cops in suburbs have nothing better to do than to catch kids partying. There's this policy where I live that if you rat out a party with underage kids drinking you get a hundred dollars. America doesn't have their priorities straight on some things and I don't think they ever will.

alright my story is good enough why wud i make up the part about cops breaking a door down? honestly? this is a 100% true story. They smelled the weed from the kids smoking on the deck so they have probable cause to come in without permission. please dont say something did or didnt happen when you werent there. and yes i hid in the box for 3 and half hours. i cudnt just pop out while they were making their walk through. they were taking pictures and going through stuff.

The cops were under the deck? How long were they there for? That sounds like some sort of special ops thing going on.
 
i live 20 mins away from cleveland also... cops are pretty chill here about that shit. seems odd that they would hide under the deck and kick down a door for just a party. thats lame, hope you get out ok.
 
thats ill about the box, but whats up with kids these days? no one seems to run when the cops come anymore. i was at a party last weekend and cops came and i ran out onto the porch along with like 25 other kids and they all just stopped i just booked it out the door and his in the woods until the cops left and hooked up with my friend who drove me home. they were like deer in headlights (well flashlight for this case) but props do you being innovative since you couldnt run, hope shit works out.

All the parties around where I live are way out in the country so the cops don't bother to drive out, and there is no one that bothers to call them.
 
haha ya dude, im with this guy, where i live as long as no shits getting tottally wrecked then nothings wrong. no cops go looking for kids, and making them do stupid shit like community service and fines.... come on somethings fucked up... anyways the only times cops have showed up at parties around here, everyone gets out of the front yard, close the door. and they go away. simple as that.

hahahahah fines for consumption of alchohol, smoking weed, or smoking cigarretts! cmon. haha ive had many friends passed out in bushes and such, all the cops do is tell the to go home or give em a lift home and leave...
 
To everyone who said the cops can't enter without permission, you're pretty damn wrong.

If a cop has reasonable suspicion that something illegal is taking place inside a house, i.e. underage drinking, they're allowed to make an entrance. They can simply walk around your house and look in all the windows until they see a beer can, then bust in a door. They did it at my friend's house last summer.

I'm so sick of all this "Know your rights!" bullshit misinformation. The next time you get pulled over by a cop and they ask to search your vehicle, go ahead, refuse it like they always say you should. See how far that gets you.
 
honestly, they dont have shit against you. you can prolly say you were at the party, but never drank. oh and +karma for chillen in the box

dude i know exactly what you are saying. i have been to a total of 4 parties that have gotten busted, and i haven't even hesitated about running. as far as i'm concerned, there is no cop that is going to outrun me. i can run pretty damn fast, and for a pretty long time.

i have ran all 4 times and actually got chased once cause some dumbass bitches followed me, had the woods i ran into searched and i had to run again for a good mile. called my cousin while running who picked me up as soon as i got there and i went home.

i figure the worst that'll happen is i'll get some bullshit evading police charge or whatever it's called. but i have about a 95% chance of getting away on foot from the fat fuck police squad in my town. i'll take my chances running...
