Party busted,Hid from cops. am i introuble?

Alright so last friday i was at a party, 2 pong tables,people outside on deck smoking,etc.. so around 12:30 everyone starts freaking out cuz some1 called n said theres cops outside the house so everyone runs downstairs. Boom boom boom goes down the door cops rush downstairs.. while they were knocking down the door i jump into this box and i hide til 4am. the cops never saw me. but the girl is getting asked if there were any people that got away/ran. i dont kno if she will rat or not cuz it cud probly lower some of the charges against her. mind you everyone is under 18 except for 3 people. i am 17. do you think i can get introuble?
 
well first off im positive it is illegal for them to kick the door in unless they have a warrant. and unless she rats on you ur good. but even if they do there isnt much that can get you with cuz they wont have proof you were drunk
 
Ya thats pretty much right. You should find out if someone let them into the house, because if no one actually let them in, then all of their evidence and shit is no good since they needed a warrant to get in otherwise. And ya, you can just say you weren't drinking, what proof do they have?
 
word, they don't actually have proof you were there cause they didn't find you, they don't have proof you were drinking cause they didn't test you. I don't think its illegal for you to go to a party? if you get called up you can just say you weren't drinking.

if they have photos or something thats not concrete proof either, you could just be like i was only posing for the photo. i dunno it seems like they would have a very weak case against you.
 
No we were talking about this topic in class today and if a cop has been informed of a noise complaint or under age drinking and can see that theres a party going on through a window it gives them probable cause.
 
Well if everyone was in the basement at the time, all they would have seen would be a bunch of cans, which isn't proof of underage drinking.
 
the cops were hiding under the deck while people were smoking ontop. so that gave them probable cause. and my parents kno.. have of my county knows. all im worried about is getting screwed after all this has happened
 
if she rats you out she's a little bitch but even if she does they dont have any proof so im sure you fine

hahaah . but yeah how are they goin to prove it. where do you live, cuz they must be pretty serious about underage drinking to knock a door down.
 
you really just need to prove u werent there. you should know being from washington that there are 2 different laws. Minor in consumption and minor in possession if u are at a house with beer all over the place you are in possession.
 
with concrete probable cause, a cop, is allowed to search one's property, be it a car or house. The cops acted according their duty and you just have shitty luck.
 
you didn't get breathalized or give them your blood so you can't get in trouble for drinking. if you were smoking, you might not want to unless they test you, but i seriously doubt they will give you a drugtest for something as trivial as this. you're straight.
 
Well. It's minor in possession, and minor in possession by consumption. Both count as MIP's. And yeah not being there would be the best option, but they can't prove that you DID drink, then I don't believe they have a case.

Although I got called up 2 years ago by the cops 8 months after a party about a suspected rape at a party I was at. And the party wasn't busted. That was weird.
 
what ever happened to the good old days when our parents were kids....

when the cops would show up at a party, take the alcohol, and say "go home"

now they're breaking down doors and cuffing...wtf?....

and yeah, you should be ok, i was at one party where this girl was gone and we threw a rager at her her house and her parents obviously found out and threatened to call cops and shit. theres even pictures of me on facebook AT the house that are obvious that im there and nothing happened. even if they did i would have just denied being there.

get yourself a solid alibi jussssssssst in case and you are set. tell them the girl must have been mistaken if she thought you were there. but honestly im sure the cops have better things to do than track down teens who were partying unless you live in a SMALL ass town.
 
All you need is a good Alibi. Get a friend or cousin to say you were hanging out with him at the time. This is some big misunderstanding. This is a case of underage drinking... not murder. I'm sure your town/county whatever doesn't have the resources to run an intensive investigation to prove an offense as small as that occurred. Ok, so if someone else mentions you were at the party... you deny it. You could always claim that they were just setting you up to take the fall with them. That is unless you know some dumb bitches took pictures of you there. (Chicks with cameras suck). Just lay low for a while. And see how it pans out. Don't talk about it, unless someone really mentions something directly to you.

Dude you're talking about something so small here though. The most they can convict you of is Possession. That's NOTHING. Maybe a $50 fine and 10 hours of community service. Colleges don't look at the shit or anything when you apply. And your car insurance company won't really find out either. Seriously, a MIP is in the same league as a speeding ticket.

I'm actually 21 now. But when I was in highschool, this dumbass that I graduated with was the biggest fuck up ever. He has 2 underage drinking violations, a weed possesion, and an underage DUI. I mean he was kinda fucked with fines and community service, and his license was revoked for 30 days. But honestly, nothing terrible happened to him. His parents fucked him over harder than the law did. They actually didn't let him go to college the year after he graduated.

 
wow man, that is extremely gay that the cops did that. i know your underage and all but at least your not going around the streets being dicks and shit. i dont see why they care that much when ur just chillin mindin you own buisiness.

but, thats really funny that u hid in a box for 3 hours. what happened when u got out... did u just say peace to the girl and leave. hahaha
 
It won't really matter if you were there or not, it's if you were drinking/smoking so if they prove that you were there they can't prove if you were drinking/smoking because you left. BUT yeah deny everything.
 
all that is true except they also don't need a warrent is someones life is in danger, however that is not the case. So the only thing that you can get in trouble by is your parents otherwise just tell the cops to prove that you were there and to prove that you were drinking they don't have shit on you.
 
you could only get in trouble if you were smoking weed cause they could do a drug test but alchol no you couldnt get in troble for that

but as for being in the box it suckd.. i was scared cuz the cops were checking the boxes around me n everything taking pictures. i knew if i made one little movement i wud have been caught. the cops left and i waited 30 minutes to make sure there was complete silence n no movements in the house. I got out n left thru a window in the basement. but it was very uncomfortable, at times i felt like pissing myself but i just held it and when i got out i fell over cuz my legs were asleep i thought i had to get them cut off at the time cuz i cudnt feel anything in them and i cudnt move them for a good 3-4 minutes
 
A party in my neighborhood got busted once, back when i was in HS. We had left like 5 mins before the cops showed up, so lucky. People were hiding in boxes in the basement, some people hid in the rafters of the kids house in his unfinished storage room in the basement. Some people even hid in the ventilation ducts, no idea how the hell they got up there. It was nuts haha.
 
If all they have is that girls word your fine. No cop is going to go out of his way to try to track down a kid that may or may not have been drinking at a party with no proof.

they only way cops can come in is if they see kids drinking, someone opens the door for them and lets them in, or if they have a warrent. i think.
 
This is seriously the funniest story I've heard in awhile. I can picture it being retold, "Yeah then the cops busted in, and I dove under a box and hid under it for three and a half hours."
