how many of you guys agree that parkasauras needs a come back in the worst way? freeskier needs to make it happen.
 
having an event like parkasaurus is irrelevent now, parkasaurus was to fill the need for a top notch park that the best skiers on earth could session since very few parks were able to meet the demands of top pros from 2000-2004.

Now with the concept of a "team" more prevalent in skiing today, movie companies or sponsors can just get private sessions in the top parks ( big bear with level 1, copper and helly hansen) , which i think are alot sicker than parkasaurus.

Parkasaurus would be a step backwards, the orage masters must be brought back however

 
parkasaurus wasn't supposed to just be for the best skiers. it was also an opportunity for no-names or new-names to throw down and get photographed. pep, for example, was just some mogul skier trying to get exposure at the first parkasaurus. i think the only shot he got was in the crash section of second generation when he tried to hit the trapezoid rail switch.

 
nah not at all parkasaurus was after the mountain closed and invite only. watch tgr's movie the proohecy; pep has a full segment including lots of shots from parkasaurus
 
I was just thinking how much I miss Parkasauras last week. And now here is it is on Newschoolers. God Bless Newschoolers.
 
i never said it was open to the public. it was invite only, but a lot of no-names managed to get invites. unless you're from park city, you probably didn't know who travis perkins was before he went straight over the hip at the last parkasaurus. likewise, you probably hadn't heard of the kid who was doing reverse toxic cork 7s (with the head skis, doing crosses like TJ) at an earlier parkasaurus (his name was brandon something; he didn't get too far, but he got a lot of exposure at Parkasaurus). those skiers made parkasaurus cool; you don't see no names at the private shoots that have replaced parkasaurus.

also, you're wrong about prophecy. there aren't shots from the FIRST parkasaurus in Prophecy. was Pep wearing mogul skier pants with knee patches in Prophecy? no, because he was already sponsored by Oakley at that point. at the first parkasaurus, he only had his mogul sponsors; he was a no name. it was later on that same trip that tanner invited him to an oakley shoot and he got discovered.
