Park: With or without poles?

When I hit jumps mostly, I don't use my poles, just because they get in the way. When I'm either only hitting rails or just seshing everything, I use them. But I just cut down some poles so I will probably use them always.

I ski with poles but only because I don't spend the whole day in the park. If I did I'm not sure what I would do. I think poles are a little more stylish though overall

i figure if you desprately dont wanna use poles than just snowboard, if you can ppull it off (many can) keep itup

riding no poles is like getting head from a guy, it feel's great until you look down, and realize your gay...

unless youre really good, then you can pull it off

I CANT DECIDE! I SKI WITH POLES. BUT, THATS BECAUSE I'LL FAIL WITHOUT THEM. I THINK TRICKS LOOK COOL WITH POLES. BUT, TRICKS ALSO LOOK COOL WITHOUT POLES. SO, IDK.

I always ride with poles, whether I'm hitting jumps, rails, or cruising through powder. I remember breaking these poles I had one time and for the rest of the day it just felt weird riding.

I do see some benefits to riding without them, but riding without poles is just not for me

poles are a crutch (literally) and not necessary at all.

everyone is used to the style because that is all they know, so changing that looks weird and the trendy fuckers will say it looks gay because it is different. All i gotta say is homos love the pole.

hey, maybe they're just listening to outkast, you know: "now throw your hands in the air, and wave 'em like you just dont care..."

I use poles because they help me ski better.
If I get really bored and there is nothing to do, I drop them.
If you're going to ski with midget poles, drop them or get longer poles. If you're using poles as a fashion accessory you don't deserve to have them.
If you're riding pow without poles, chances are you could do it better with poles. Pick some up and charge a bit harder.
Poles are a crutch, yes, but there's a reason they're in use. Touring without poles? Good luck. Skiing moguls without poles? Perfectly possible, but done better and easier with poles. Skiing pow without poles? Perfectly possible, but done better and easier with poles.

not having poles is nice for when you do lots of hand drags and plants on things. But I usually use them anyway. Then again I haven't held pair of poles since march... sad face.

not true at all, i dont use poles and i have great balance. its just a matter of getting used to not usinng them as a crutch

I get mine from the back dumpster at the local ski swap every year............ don't judge me

sometimes i go without if i get bored though. I kinda like it for all mountain for some reason. Park not so much but maybe i'll try it

sry for the dub post, im on iNS and hit post by accident, but i mean i always use poles, and i use tiny, about 33-34" poles for park, and 40" for everything else.

Not to be a douche, but its a lot different when you have actual terrain to ski. Pow, big mountain, lines, moguls, all are much MUCH easier and more fun with poles. There's a reason the entire nimbus crew is using poles again.

with poles, good balance. without poles helps create more balance. I will toss my poles in the woods to spice things up a bit, have fun with my free hands! more high fives to kids, double grabs, hand dragz!

i use my poles about 70% of the time and the other 30% is either when im just messing around in the park and what not or working on grabs i refuse to hit any jump bigger than 40 without poles though
