PARK VS. POW

Well anywhere with a good park has the park every day and pow just on the good days which is sick but honestly the feeling I get sending cliffs and surfing pow is so cool and i'm pretty shit at park so pow
 
If only they could figure out how to make the snow guns blow pow instead of... whatever that shit is before they take the groomer to it and call it "snow". I miss the days trying to ski the ungroomed piles of man made snow. shit's not right - kinda in the same realm as cheese in a can. sure it exists, but how?
 
We can blow pow if it's cold enough but we have to turn down the water to air ratio, which means we ultimately make less snow. Since the whole point of making snow is usually to make a base on runs, that kind of defeats the purpose.

when they're blowing snow they want big piles of heavy, thick snow for a solid base. it's all going to be pushed anyway. if they blew light snow it would get demolished into nothing by a cat in seconds.

POW ALL DAY. nice parks are nice on a day when there is no snow. I love how pow days are so low pressure. there's no worries about landing tricks, no getting wrecked, and little chance of frustration. everyone's just ripping.
 
Park, but keep in mind I live in MN. I don't even like watching Pow tbh. It looks miserable to get all that snow up your jacket, down your pants, in your face. Just stating my opinion. Park all the way.

Perhaps people who live in the west and experience both should answer not east coasters or people who haven't skied enough of both to know. I know about 99% of people that ski in the west would agree that park is to bide your time in between storms. That's like asking a person who always surfed the same point break that broke left if he liked left or right barrels?

If you haven't skied enough days to appreciate both then your answer shouldn't be taken seriously.

 
I'm from NC so we literally never have pow days, ever...but I have ridden about 7 pow days out west and it't not even a question, pow over park all day. riding in the trees, dead silence, just you and your skis, floating on top of the world then dropping off a nice little cliff is freaking unbeatable
 
What a stupid question! Powder obviously. Anyone who says different is obviously a 15 year old American from the east coast with an overly long t-shirt.

The dedicated skier can always find Pow. well, park for those small handful of days when you really get skunked and the weather happens to be nice for park. I'm getting old it seams.
 
powder any day of the week. maybe if there is no snow i'll lap the park for a bit but i would never pass up the potential for fresh tracks to hit jumps in the park. anyone who has ever skied on a legit powder day will agree.
 
you know. i got on this thread planning to see a million kids call repost. then call them all 14 year old cock sucking boooger eaters and insult them in other similar manners. but no one did....... I'm proud you newschoolers society!
 
The feeling of dumping a turn in copious amounts of powder where the snow almost feel warm and it blows over you and you loose your vision for a second then pop back out and float up again is unbeatable
 
carving is the shit, being good at carving has essentially allowed me to ski almost everyday of the season hard, and get paid for it

but yea POW
 
I skied 140cm (55") of fresh blower flowing over my face pow yesterday and I can easily say I would chose that over ANYTHING else (including sex). It was easily the best day of skiing in my life and probably the best general day of my life (or second best)

right now. wishing for POW...only because the snowfall this season in CO sucks...but normally this season...park park park park park
