if you guys are at all curious as to how the parks are looking in the Bow Valley check out my friends site http://shtchea.com
It may be a bunch of snowboarders but they update once or twice a week and its always new content either featuring a park update or a shotgun challenge or footy from a comp.
Check it out and support the bow valley shred scene!
COP jump line is "apparently" opening tomorrow. don't quote me on that one. but the jumps are ridiculous, 1st big consists on non kicky jump on the right side of table2nd big is a more kickier step down
3rd is a step up/over, very weird thinkings in what they were thinking.
also on the left side of the park they have the blue DFD slanted like a mother fucker, and red round rail in a good spot.
oh and after the jump line are 2 rails, 1 dfd and 1 down bar
Was at Louise yesterday, park is alot like last year except the jumps are quite a bit smaller, the top large you could drop from about ten metres away and still go to big. The step over was nice though, pretty poppy and a nice smooth landing. The cats were making what looked like a really big landing for another stepover where the culvert was last year, hopefully thats a little bit bigger than the other jumps
I've heard that their making an XL line for underneath the chair, also heard that that big ass pile of snow where the culvert used to be its now placed right after is going to be for some massive jumps.
i can confirm they are building a pro line under the chair / to the right at louise. not sure on sizes yet though. step up is similar to last year but about 5-10 feet shorter.
Looks like Louise is tossing in an XL stepdown where the medium large was last year and another step up before the culvert, new step up looks pretty big and really small landing could be interesting Park is gettin amped up though going to be EPIC
Was at Louise on the 22nd and 29th (I think) and the park is already much better than last year, All the jumps seem to flow more. Can't wait to see the XL line.
Sunshine on the other hand really needs to pick up their pace!
was talking to the snowmaker and park crew at louise today sounds like their going to finish the border-cross to cut off the current park and then their going to put in 3 60 foot booters not sure if step ups n shit or just massive kickers and tossing in a q pipe. Lake Louise is building its biggest park ever this year
As of last weekend, upper park open, grizzlys not yet. Jibs aren't bad, they finally got the dfd in. Jumps are kind whatever, one at the end is decent. Didn't spend a whole lot of time in there since the west was skiing so good but did take a quick lap through. Lake park is still way more fun, lots of goodies set up there and a longer run.
louise's jumps are absolutely amazing. diving board then 2 tables. probably 45ft and 50ft and sooooooo smooth. best jumps they have had in the last 5-6 years.
This is from this Thursday at Louise. park is looking good. the xl jumps could be bigger though and there was some speed issues as well (not because of conditions).
just got back from Louise, park is absolutely amazing! so many good jumps and rails, so much flow, and the XL line is nuts, jumps are nice and big and soooo smooth. Cant wait to get back
