Park Statuses?

Need to decide on Welch or Hyland this weekend. I have a pass to Welch, but don't want to waste my time if they have a shitty park as usual. What does Hyland have up and are they charging full price tickets already?
 
welch park is currently non-existent. i've heard afton park is a really fun little setup right now and not sure about hyland but that sounded decent too. i have a welch pass as well but i'm probably not going this weekend
 
hyland has a great setup right now. 3 jump line, 40 foot shotgun, flat down box and rail, flat box, banana box, mini battleship, its all sick. haven't been to afton yet though.
 
My park doesn't get built until after christmas =[

we have a few rails set up, but most are nearly impossible because the snowboarders ride on to all of them and fuck up the jumps, so you have to pop almost 2 feet to get on. and then they make these potholes in the landings.

nobody seems to ever want to keep them up. same with our pipe.
 
afton last weekend had a dfd box setup, the mailbox, and a choice of either a-frame or baby downrail. worth it just for the mailbox. but yeah, prices are kinda up there.
 
Troll. Full park with Rope. flat box, wall ride, flat bar, flat down box, flat down rail, 50 ft down bar, down flat down rail, battle ship rail, and two jumps.
 
afton has a new setup on chair 9 now, its all one line and it is quite a blast. 1st hit is an elbow rail and then a bench style flat box to down box, then flat down box, mailbox, and flat handrail

i know its snowboarding but there's going to be some huge names at hyland saturday (j fronius included in that list is huge for the guy, known him forever, grew up riding hyland and really starting to get the recognition he deserves)....trying to decide if its going to be too crowded to move

i cant imagine walsh, horgmo, and rice tearing up hyland.
 
wow! i wish i didnt have to take the ACT on saturday :[ i actually snowboard so that list means something to me, like seriously torstein and t. rice at hyland?? shits gunna be insane
 
Did Fronius go to Cretin? Just curious.

I might go just to watch Travis Rice. I have watched That's It That's All about 500 times. That dude is insane!

id assume they'll have the bigger park side up, supposed to be cold and windy saturday unfortunately. it'd be sick just to go and watch a little, should be pretty crazy
 
usually around christmas is when they have the line but not the money, and about hald the rails are set up. but what is there currently?
 
i'm going up in a couple hours... ill keep ya posted- but on Monday they had the lake effect rail and that 15ish ft box that's always in the progression park

they opened a couple more runs tho so ive got a slight feeling they may have a couple barrel bonks ect in the progression park today but we will find out

At welch we have an up rail, flat box, down box, flat bar set up....hopeful to finish it for the weekend, looking to add 4 or 5 more boxes/rails to that line and add a jump or two.
 
afton is setup pretty sweet. Gotta couple rail lines and 3 jump line. Actually its more like 1 huge mound followed by two jumps. Fun tho.
 
so, Buck Hill got there park up. Finally. I haven't hit too much of it because yesterday when i went out it seemed more fun to shred the little pow jumps some kids put up but they have a 3 jumpline, a probably 20-30 foot down rail up top a big c box, flat up flat rail, up to small gap to down box.. that's basically there main run with a few more rails and stuff setup next to their halfpipe.. the lips on the jumpline for sure need work though..
 
Hylands Big super is HUGE its by far the biggest jump in the midwest! its about 60 ft....and has such big Wu Tang. Had a sesh today with the crew it was insane...

ya its about as big as nybora was last year! its a real big jump we had to draft behind each other to get enough speed..
 
We will be resetting at trollhaugen this weekend. Planning the set up tomorrow night. New DFD will be put out along with this re set. We will be re setting both parks, top to bottom. Jump in the Double Tow park is actually legit. Take off to landing ratio is very proportional. Ohh, and we have a poop tube now too, if you didnt know.
 
i don't know whether to be stoked on a jump that big, or completely sketched out that hyland would build something that big in the first place. Do you land in the parking lot? I'll have to check it out next week. Is that little rainbow box up? That thing can be a lot of fun
 
at welch we have, up rail, flat box, down box, flat bar, rainbow rail, 40 foot down rail, big flat down......have a 30' flat box set in but not open yet..and going to figure out a place to set up the rainbow box.
 
^ nice work anderson i saw you out there killin it while i was drinkin beers at madd jaxx and learning how to ride switch by myself all night. then came home and got the flu. helluva life.
 
Spirit finally put its progression park in today... lol

2 barrel jibs a and 5 foot booter-

on a better note- they have a TON of snow in the park so theres no reason they wont have the park open by next Sat
 
how's spirit's park? i know they have the line up and the progression park but anything else? my friend and i are going tomorrow.
