so ive got a job interview at my local hill this afternoon, and im just looking for some good things to say, because im not nessesacarily quick witted, and it ususally takes me a minute to think of a good answer to hard questions. so if you guys can help me out with good prak ideas, or even if you have had a interview for park staff, HELP ME!

yeah tell them you smoke lot and lots of weed, and you really only want this job to ride all day and you really dont care about anything...............

Just say you've had lots of expirience in terrain parks, you know all the saftey rules, you follow them.. blah blah blah.

Just be a major safety kiss ass and they'll love you.

If they ask you what your greatest weakness is (which every interview I have had has asked), say 'sometimes I feel weird asking for help when I don't know what to do.'

being a park skier, you know how people want the features so they are fun and ridable, but also safe and not sketch?

I applied and got interviewed at a shitty hill near me. didn't get it, because "i looked lazy" but that mountains park is pretty shitty and the whole park crew sucks at building anything and they just smoke pot and pretend they have a good park. But for the interview just listen to everyone else i got asked questions like "what is your favorite feature in a park" and he liked that i was a volunteer firefighter so if you do any volunteer work make sure you put that in.

They always ask, "so do you have any questions for me?"
My favorite anwers are, "so what kind of advancement is there available with this position because I would like something where I feel like I can continue to set goals for myself"
Also, "For the people with this position already, what is their favorite part about the position", Or, "what made you get into this position" (only if they hold the same position or started with the same position)

What is your biggest weekness is a hard one too.... I always say delegation and that I have a tendency to try to accomplish everything on my own, but have realized this as a weekness and have spent a lot of time working to correct this (followed by an example of how I have been working on this)
They will also most likely ask you what are some of the most important saftey issues you think are associated with the position.1st, following mountain saftey protocol2nd, portraying saftey to the guests by doing things like wearing a helmet and avoiding inverted tricks when in uniform as well as acting respectful in and out of uniform since you are acting as a representitive of the mountain at all times.

thanks alot guys, i just got back from the interveiw - I GOT THE JOB - wahoo. thanks to everyone for their advice, ive hit up your karma accordingly.

it ended up being a show up-yea your hired-kinda thing, just cause i knew all the park staff from last season, and i was an instructor there last season. so it was good.

thanks again guys.

from what I've seen, quick witted is not a criteria for being on the park staff, so I wouldn't be too worried (/sarcasm). Seriously, you should just make sure they realize you are willing to work hard and put a good amount of time into it, you know about building park features and you want the job because you want to make the terrain park (and thereby the whole mountain) a better place to ski.

^ yes tim, i am. are you riding at louis this year? and occasionally skiing at horseshoe without a pass again this year?

lol, try and guess who this is.
