park skiis for girls

I just tested a bunch of next year's park skiis, and noticed they don't make skiis that are suitable for girls. The ones I found that are the best were the Dynastar Concept, Atomic Tweak, K2 Enemey, and anything by Salomon. Everything else is just too heavy or sluggish for us smaller people.

Hey, arent the Concepts and the Enemies some of the heaviest skis out there? Thats why I like my Enemies, They are nice and stiff and can rip outa the park just as well.

What about the Lines? They seem pretty light.

yeah lines and salomon are good for women. the mad trix are by far the heavyest skis out though. but they're still good.

ok. it's not too bad if you're just doing regular skiing and light powder I guess. but they can be a bit unforgiving in the bumps because they have soft tails.

the concepts are the lightest by the way. and volkls are mad heavy. n e way, there isn't a market as of yet but hopefully in a few years.

the tail might be a bit long for moguls. And lines would be good skis for girls. Thier light as hell and super manouverable (SP?) . And the longer lines (skogens, darkside etc) are fine for carving. I'v ridden them and i know. Dont be a follower and say they can't just because of thier 'park only' stereotype

Well I mean it's not so much how small you are or anything it's just how you ski. I'm only 5' 2' and 103lbs and I like the Volkls and Heads alot.

actually me and a couple other instructors tried them out and discussed them afterwards. They've got no snap out of the turns if you're being aggresive on them. I've never seen a ski bend to a 90 degree angle but the 1260s did.

but the thing is. It's my own skiing style and preference. Some people don't need a stiff ski because of the different style they have. I'm not saying that they're not good skiers either. it's just that there are many different styles of skiing and they don't have the same one as me.

So all I'm saying is if you ski like me then you won't like them...... pretty broad.

I'm only 5'5 and can ski on anything, but sometimes it's nice to have a ski that you can throw around and really work turns with. Especially if you are just learning, you should be on a lighter ski.

Next yeárs Dynastars are wicked sweet, with awesome graphics and good all around. Salomon had some sweet shit too, as well as Atomic. Depending on where you ski (for ex. Ontario, you probably would want just a straight park ski, whereas in BC, you might want a fatter twin, such as the Stomps or Pocket Rocket).

The Head Mad Trix are also pretty sick but took a bit longer to get used to (I'm thinking the bindings were set too far back on my demo pair)....but also a good all round ski.

i've got the salomon 1080's and they're great. im 5'5' and 112 lbs. and i've got the 169's. they're great for the park and everything else...i would recommend them to all gurls.

i ride the 161 1080's and i demoed the 161's and im in love with them i want them really bad (my b day is comming up by the way)... and well it just depends on where u ski just like girl jibber said..

i've got the 1260's and I love them. They're really light and so much fun to ride on.

I used to ski on super stiff race skis, so yeah, compared to those, the 1260's are softer, but I don't find them too soft at all and I ski with them now all the time.

Plus, the graphics are sweet. This year's ski is the nicest blue ever and next year's ski has a ninja on it.

yeah i ski on 161, 1080s and i love them.. i have a pair of 171 salomons and i hate them... ick.. short skis rule! plus the 1080s are good for skiin the deep powder stevens had this season. yay for 7th heaven!

I have the 168 Volant Machete. They are super heavy!!! BUt they kick ass all over the hill!! But IM lookin at either the Mad trix or the Concpets next season...

I got the 1080's 161's as well. I luv them everywhere except the pow, there not that easy to use. So next year I'll be looking into getting the Rocket Pockets as well.

Short skis suck long skis truck! No seriously, short skis are good for the park and whatnot, but I can't imagine how 161 1080s are great in powder. That's so little surface area. There's nothing better in skiing than straighlining or making big fast GS turns in a steep open bowl of powder or crud. I don't see that happening too well on 161s.

I'm 5'10' and I refuse to ski anything longer then 175. But I gotta get new skis next season... mine are starting to get old and not want to co-operate especially my bindings!!

but i do agree the 161's are too short i tried the vinnies and loved them and those are 169 so.. yeah...
