Park Skiing Vs Big Mtn

I take big mtn any day. But do big mtn pros get paid more then pro freestylists(parkrats)?

Park and Pipe mostly. But I try to get out Big MT. once in a while. Its pretty sick if you go to the right place.

 
if you have access to big mountain, then ski big mountain...if all you have is a park, i can understand that, but im big mountain all the way...i love it, its way better than skiing the park all day.

 
ok. after living in ohio, and rarly seeing any kind of pow, you get tired of park. i have gotten to ski some ver good pow in Penn, believe it or not, and i can honestly say, i could care less if i never ski a park for the rest of my life. As long as i could kick it in the BC, i would be a happy guy.

I love skiing in the park and pipe but I'd take big mountain over park anyday, where I decide to ski depends pretty much entirely on the conditions. If I had my way I'd do nothing but rip powder and hit backcountry booters but that requires good conditions I can rarely count on. Some days it's just better to stay in the park but there ain't nothing wrong with that either.

i like both, ive never really skied any lines over 2000 feet and i dont consider that big enough to be 'big mountain' but i like hucking cliffs and cliff lines as well as chutes and straightlines. and i would pick that over jumping anyday if the condidtions were good. alot of the newschool stuff is all about style now, which i dont give a shit about becuase i ski for the feeling you get after being scared shitless and then just going for it, that feeling in your blood, how you are all amped up.... that is what i ski for. but tricks and jumping can give me that feeling too im just not obsessed with style too much but it is nice to make ur stuff look alright.

its all about big mountain and stuff with powder and cliffs and bowls and steeps and trees and faces and stuff, and ahhhhhhhh, pakr and pipe is fun and cool and stuff, but just doesnt compare to big mountain stuff, however, this has been discussed many a time, old has got

well there talking about freesking, in my opinion big moutian is 3000ft + long lines where u really have to think about what your gonna do.

 
In response to the question you asked, if you compare the saleries of the top jibbers along side the top big mountain guys, I can assure you that the jibbers are making a hellava lot more money.

 
Depends on the riders...Guys who are winning are making a good amout of loot...But there are the guys that are put in some good flicks that make some groovy green as well.

Park - Packed snow run with all sorts of stuff to launch off of and slide.

Big Mountain - Remote locations above the treeline, mostly with some nice deep powder.

There's obviously more to skiing than that. People tend to only talk about Park and Big Mountain though. How come they never talk about the glades and bowls? Those are the places where there is some great riding and great places to build jumps. So, for me. I'd saying riding stuff like that is the best.

my intire crew waited for his ass at the bottem of the hill and beat the shit out of him. i broke his poles agianst a tree, and we snapped one of his skis. fucker got uppercutted so much. he was bleeding from his eyes and shit, crying like a little pussy. i busted out a body slam on his ass and broke both of his arms. the ski patroler broke up the fight and clipped all of our tickets. we where gonna beat the shit out of the patroller but my mom came to pick us up.

i Like park...but than again i live in Michigan...so i've never even done big mountain...but i'm dying to try!
