Some friends and I decided to trip to argentina during July.

We heard about Las Lenas but what's up with the park up there.

Would somebody know where are the bigest snowpark in Argentina or South America??

thanks

well in Argentina, Bariloche has some good skiing not sure if they have park all season or at all though but google it hopes this helps

go to the SASS camp, they are in baraloche, ski cerro catedral, park is iffy at best, couple of boxes and rails, but i guess there is no big park scene down there to start with, but just build your own booters, dirt tree skiing plenty of natural jibs and pow

here in Chile the best park and biggest is in El Colorado, but nothing compared to USA, and i think is almost the same size as the biggest in argentina

Bariloche - Cerro Catedral and Esquel - La Hoya, have the bests parks of Argentina, and every year gets better. But dont spect to see nothing like

in US.

Nos vemos Bariloche

Is there anybody from there or somebody who know that place well that I could personaly talk with out of that forum. I'm from canada and it's a new destination for us so we would like as much information as possible before getting there?

I'm from Argentina...I've skied Cerro Catedral Bariloche most of my life, and went in various ocations to Portillo Chile. In portillo there is no park at all, at least there was no park scene during 2006. In Cerro Catedral there was a park last year. It had 7 rails, and a table. There was only one jump which was very small and shaped horribly wrong, but there was a big jump built for an exibition during the hi-season which was actually good. Only pros were allowed to hit it. I hope they expand the park this year.

i´m from bariloche, park here is ok, nothing us level, but this year they´ll put 2 middle jumps, and one big (50 feet aprox), and about 7 to 10 rails.also the park that will be really good as last years is chapelco´s in san martin (3 hours from bariloche) it´ll have 3 (50 to 65 foot) tables in a row. couple of rails...

las leñas has nice rails but jumps suck, so those 2 above should be the best ones. but check also the BC in bariloche and las lenas, EPIC!

if you youtube las lenas, you can find some vids on their park, i watched one a while ago and i remember them having like 2 ~25-30fters.

but, um, don't go to south america just to ski park please....(find the lift)
