Park Ski

Hi guys

I was looking for some new park skis because I want to do more freestyle this year and I want a ski that excels in the park, but can do groomers also.

I wanted a ski that wouldn't break the bank, and was flexible so I could get some forgiveness if I landed a jump wrong. Also something that rides well switch and is buttery and flexible for nose presses.

Some of the skis I looked at:

Line Mastermind, Atomic Infamous, K2 Press, Line Afterbang, Armada El Rey, and the Line Stepup.

What do you guys think?

Well you want a stiffer ski to support you when you mess up a jump. When you land really back seat a stiffer ski will support you and spring you back up.

How much do you weight? How tall are you? What exactly is your budget for skis?

If you weigh enough Volkl walls can be buttered with some break in.

I am 6' 4" at 175 lbs. I was looking for a ski in the mid 170's cm range because I already have a long powder ski, but it seems a little fat for riding park

What do you guys think of the Rossi Scimitar, how do rockered skis perform in the park?

Rockered skis may or may not work in the park, it's personal preference. But they ski short and you'd need a ski at least around 180 cm for your height

That makes sense.

I am looking for a low budget ski that can help me get used to skiing switch and in the park

I heard the line masterminds delaminates after a season, is that true. Is there anybody who actually liked the masterminds? Or do I need to start looking at the chronic and more upper level park skis

He says he wants to do good out of the park and hold up on jumps. He wants a stiffer ski that the thall. I would go for the Armada ar7s. I had ar7's last year and I got thalls this year so I have used both.

I am riding on line masterminds for the second season now. They have held up well except for the top sheet. It has peeled off a lot all over but other than that they are solid skis and are great for beginners. I learned park on them. They have been good skis but and arnt to stiff but arn't soft. They are buttery and great for their price but if you are looking for a ski that will last more than 2 years I wouldn't recommend them.
