Park question

should a mountain hav a park pass

this pass would cost extra money for the ticket and it would also cost extra for a season pass

wat do u think

please dont rag on me

i really want to know from this info i might bring it to the "big" people at my mountain

that would be a good idea if it was just a few bucks more and all that money went toward managing the park and making it better.

however, just a few bucks more wouldnt keep gapers out of the park. But i wouldnt want to pay a shit load more for a seasons pass.

Paying extra would suck on top of lift prices already, but taking 2 minutes to visit a small desk somewhere to get a little pass would be easy and effective.

yah like yesterday i was in the park wit my crew and my friend hit the jump and a girl skied right under him also last year i almost hit a lady and her kid snowplowing down the landing of the jump and when i asked the husbaand if he could get off the jump he was all like "I LEAVE WHEN MY KID GETS HEERE" in a really mean wayy too ahhhhhhhh

Yeah good idea. Usually all the stuff in any BC park is so messed up from kids snowplowing right off the jumps. If that could be stopped, kick ass idea.

Not too much more money though, cuz that could make even less people interested in the park.

ya i think its a good idea to have a park pass... tremblant got them this year for the bigger park... its soo much better! i went into the free park the other day and it was made there was soo many people in it!!! but ya i think its a good idea it keeps the people that doesnt know how to ski out of the park

i went to wachusette and they made me do it. its a pain in the ass to get it if your only there for one day, but i think overall its a good idea. it will keep the little kids and their parents out who just stand ont he landing and snowplow the jump.

actually now that i think of it, attitash doesnt really have a good beginner park that you can actually learn anything in (aside from a 3 foot rail...). It seems like this might make smaller, more unexperianced skiers shy away from the park and end up in them not learning park. just something to think about.

thats some what of a good idea but liek everyone starts somewhere u know. the "gapers" dont just includ the n00bs that just ride throught the park or the people with there grandparents snowplowing down the jumps. soem of these little kids want to learn and get better and the only way to do that is to be a gaper for a little bit till u get ur skills down. i think maby 2 diff parks would be a much better idea. or liek have 1 gaper park and then u have to get a park pass for the real one. i dono it just seems like kicking all the people that dont slay out wouldent be any help espeshily for the people running the mt trying to make the cash.

i forgot to metion in the beggining that at my mountain we have little kids that ripp it theres a 4 yr old who can clear a ten foot gap easily and theres other little kids that are good too. but like yesterday there at least 30 ppple at the tp of our park my friends and oi all yelled an told them if there not hitting jumps to ski down the side 5 kids listened then you had 20 little kids and there parents with vid cams snoplowing down beside them over the jumps and ruing them

sweeeeeeeeeeet. I ski atta. so many gapers its rediculous. good to hear that the new owners like freestyle. Im def for park passes.

Park passes are a GREAT idea. Make them like 10 bucks for the season. That way its not so much that nobody thats gonna be there for just a day won't buy them but it should keep a lot of people out that just want to cruise the park like its a groomer. Plus it'll be money they can spend on the park for rails, park crew, whatever. Of course you'll need a free park too that'll be smaller for people to learn in.

The only place I've ever been that required a park was was Blue Mountain. It was a pretty awesome experience to ski only with people that (for the most part) knew what they were doing. Everyone understood basic park etiquette and to my great surprise people even called out when they were dropping so there was at least some form of a line. It was worth it for 10 dollars.

wow i never thought of it like that, i just looked at it like the owners are trying to rip you off. But preventing cruisers and raising money to add stuff.

Definatly buy the thing.

park passes are a pain in the ass. Gapers are annoying but anybody should be able to ski park and as long as you are carefull you shouldnt hit anybody. You may not be able to hit a jump because someone is in the way.

Mountains should deff have park passes it would keep kids that dont belong in the park out...

park should be maditory twin tip area too

and the park pass should be done on ability not on age for two reasons i know some really good kids that are like ten( they're throwin 7s) and old guys that just ski all over the place and go off the sides of jumps need to stay out

but it deff shouldnt cost any extra money, unless they do a really good job inforcing it and the park is ill

man when i was at smuggs i saw ski instructors taking their fuckin kids threw the park and off the side of all the jumps. honeslty what the fuck...your ENCOURAGING them to be gapers?!

it good because keeps gapers and little kids out of the park, but I hate having to watch that gay video

i say yes it is a good idea because it goes towards the park and it works just fine for example blue mountain and Tremblant do it and there parks are just fine, also you don't have to worry about getting hit by gapers or cut off as much

yes. please, my mountain's park pass is only 5 dollars for the whole season but it keeps all the gapers out of the park

The park pass is definitely a good idea. I ski at winter park, and there you have to pay $20 and watch a safety video to get the dark territory pass. The safety video is kind of gay, but you don't get any gapers. There is also an advantage to having different parks where people can start out on before they hit bigger shit.

Parks shouldn't be manditory twin tip areas. Thats just ridiculous. You don't need to be able to ski backwards to be in a terrain park. It shouldn't be done by ability either. Just because I can't do a 720 doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to hit the jumps even if I'm just straight airing.

My mountain has a park pass, just got it this year. You dont have to pay, but have to watch a 15 minute safety video and then sign a form. Keeps out sooooo many gapers.

are you kidding so you want every old ski racer crusin through the park ruining the lips of the jumps and getting in the way yea thats great, and how about the kids who are on rentals for the first time and they manage to make their way into the park there just gunna fall get hurt and cause ski partol to close a jump or rail for a while cause theres a kid who doesnt belong in the park hurt on the landing. and by ability i mean you shouldn't just watch a safety video thats just a waste of time, safety is just common sense
