Park pow ski?

ya, this is what i heard as well. i just picked up a pair of elizabeths from backcountry for $390 shipped. cant wait to give these a try, i've heard they're sex.

The bents, especially this year's, are definitely a more pow-specific ski. Sure you can ski them in the park and have fun, but they're not designed for it.
I'd think about 172 bacons or lizzies, maybe blends or kung fujas as well.
Definitely demo if you can, because you might like a huge pow ski on jumps, or you might hate it. Definitely preference.

I have a couple av bacons 10/11 in length 182. I've measured them from tip to tail (not sole length), and they are actually only 178 cm. Bacons 172 is probably 168 cm, but I dont't know for sure. I'm also 5'9, and could not have liked a shorter ski. Rockers also makes them feel shorter. I'm probably not as much parkrider as you, but I still recommend 182 for you.

get the 182. 100%. I'm a similar size to you (slightly lighter), I checked them out in the shop 3-4 days ago and even for pure park i'd get the 182. they measure short (178 like said above) and they are fairly rockered. 172 (168) will be uncomfortably short.

If I were in your position I would probably get a pair of liberty helixs or double helixs.

I've got some first gen. Fujatives and a pair of LL2's. I find myself on my LL2's about 90% of the times regardless of snow conditions and where I'm skiing. They are fun, super butterable (stiff, but the rocker makes it super easy) and rip. They would definitely be my recommendation! I've got mine center mounted.

Bibby Pro 174's possibly?
I have 190's and they are a sick all mountain pow ski, good on any day where it snows more than 3cm's and manageable on all but the hardest, iciest of days.

.........

beat me too it. These would be perfect for you. Early rise and 100mm under foot so they will rip pow, but super light so you can ski park. If your looking for something wider, a good option would be SFB's. Also consider Rossi S3's and S6', and surface one lifes.

if these are the brands you're limited to i'd look at lib tech, depending on which ones your shop stocks. I rode a pair of NAS for the last 3 seasons and loved them

i dont really like the lib tech boards haha i find them really really ugly. ive heard so many good things though.
