does echo still have a park for night skiing?

*disregard this, I misread

The problem here is that it still required the first part of I70 to get to. Basically if you're going to head up from the front range and ski you might as well go the extra time and just go to A basin/loveland/breck etc. The big problem is there isnt quite enough snow right on the front range just outside Denver to support anything bigger. Eldora has done a decent job with their park and they are only about 20-30 minutes from Boulder. COS needs a park like Echo that is up near woodland park, its just cold enough to keep the snow for the main part of winter and is only a 20-25 minute drive from downtown.

Kingsvale is coming back but it’s snowboarders only I’m pretty sure. Follow their insta

When do you turn 18? I'm taking a gap year next year and may be willing to take at trip down that way for some biking in the fall. I'd help get something going.

Gonna have to disagree about spruce, they got like 3 legit rails, no jumps and the rails are sticky.

They're on the come up, they've got a very small amount of funding and I think it's only gonna go up from here.

Believe it or not they used to get FREE electricity from the hydro plant below the base lodge until it closed. Thats basically unlimited snowmaking which would have been insane. Unfortunately now their kinda limited by how much snow the board wants to make on that slope. Showing up and spending money in the cafeteria the best way to help convince the board that the park stuff is worth it though.

Perfect north is kinda this now 2 ropes and they just took one of their longest runs and made it a park. I think they are great role models. They turned down an offer from vail and the resort they bought just got better after. Move to Indian rn.

I agree with most of what you said but Echo has (had?) night skiing, which is a big draw for a lot of park rats and weekend warriors such as myself. When I was in college and they were still legit I looked at pass prices and they were very affordable, so if they were still legit today I would definitely buy a pass on top of whatever I would normally get. It would be cool to duck out of work early and go for a few laps on a weeknight.

Elm creek MN:

-roughly 200 ft long

-2 tow ropes

- 3 terrain parks

- 1 bunny hill

- 1 tubing hill

-$12 night seshes

Do they even have a terrain park? Looked at getting a night pass too but wasn’t sure if it was worth it

I have an echo mountain night season pass. I haven’t been once yet

this kinda reminds me of the place Edollo rides. Sunset park or something?? They are always blastin music for the whole resort too

If you build it they will come. What i would do in addition to what OP stated is still have a large state of the art lodge at the top designed to host concerts/fundraisers/weddings/etc. as well as being the daily watering hole. Would want a chairlift for non skiers but hosting large events would would drive more ticket sales to get to the events and hopefully serve as marketing to get people there. Hosting camps with top tier pros and having team riders putting out insta edits daily and holding comps like rail jams with sponsors providing prizes fuck it get SLVSH Cup there. Would be great to have a hostile/bunkhouse on site as well for cheap lodging. Oh i would also have a medium and large set up that would serve as sort of a natural selection course for normal folks. Just market the fuck out of it to start. Establish a brand that isnt for the rich and families but more towards the ‘wild and free’ if you will.

I'm going to Banff in January but I'd definitely make the trip down earlier in the fall.
