skiddin around with zero style, hitting a jump and barely being able to stand up after landing a jump! wearing baggy cloths and bitching on pow days that the pipe aint cut...hahahaha

i loved it this season when all the shthead prkrats at Northstar were bitching that the park was not being maintained and no rails were up/....this was after we got like 20-feet of snow in 10-days...

 
haha what losers. the park is wayyyy more fun uncut on a pow day anyway. not that you should waste any time there.

yeah park monkeys cant ski outside the park but they do alright in it. But the best in the game come from racin backrounds, and can ski out of the park as well as in.

our park crew can be pretty lazy and not maintain the park even when its freakin bluebird so were kinda use to it, but for some reason they maintain there jobs. They have their days though where we are satisfied. No matter what though there are always those someones that hang around the parks talking themselves up and saying what they could have landed if the rail was set up right...or whatever...

Me: Hey I got these sweet new skis today.

First off you are from the east coast so you only know how to ride on ice and secondly race programs do not breed the best in the game. Good skiers come from all different backgrounds and most don't chase sticks, some of the best skiers have no formal training (Sage, for instance), while others come from freestyle backgrounds (T. Hall) and then there are some that were former racers (Jon Olsson). To say the best skiers are breed from racers is just downright wrong.

The fact of the matter is kids need to understand that it is more important to learn the fundamentals of skiing first and then take those to the park. Those kids just love skiing park will quit skiing as soon as they realize they aren't going to make money or they reach the age of 25 or so and their bodies can no longer take the abuse of hard landings, if they don't hurt themselves before that time.

so true im glad i am actually able to rip outside the park too so when im older and sick of wrecking myself in the park ill be able to ski well elsewheres.

 
i've never met any of these park rats that you say can't ski outside the park.. is it just on the east coast and n-star this is taking place?

I just hate the parents who bring their little kids through the park and cut off freeskiers and boarders only to use the rail and box kickers as jumps. but as far as park rats who can't ski outside the park, hmm, I don't know much about that.

first off the comment that real skiers don't ski at northstar is kinda retarded. what defines a real skier and it doesn't matter where you are you can learn to ski anything. personally being from the midwest it is hard but i have learned how to ski park, groomers, pipe, and powder... especially the powder. when i went out west i did better that most of the locals and i haven't had any formal trainging so i also disagree with that. in the midwest we do have lots and lots of park rats who can't ski as well as tons of little kids and there parents that ski off the sides of everything and get in the way and just generally piss me off!

I really dont care what other people do. But when its dumping, the park really isnt the place to be. As for anyone bitching about park not being maintained, they can go fucking shove it. It takes a shitload of effort to rake out rails when theres a foot+ of wet heavy ass snow everywhere.

The best part is morons who want to ride the pipe on a pow day. Little do they realize, that it takes a shitload of time to get all the snow they slide down from the walls out of the middle of the pipe. Most of the time the jumps are too slow to hit as well. So if it's dumping, just stay the F out of park and make everyone's life easier including your own.

Most people, who are a little older, skiied, without park long before they got twins. All the people i know where in school for skiing or even teach. Then got into being park rats, it made tham better skierss.

what I dont get is that you say park monkeys cant "ski". If they are skiing in the park, then they are skiing. It doesn't matter what you are doing, if you have skis on your feet and are sliding down some snow, then you are skiing. you say that they have crappy style outside of the park, well maybe you suck ass in the park, and they all laugh at you.

This is a fucking stupid argument. Some people like big mountain, so people like park, some like groomers, there shouldnt be a contest to be a"real skier" you should ski where ever you want so long as you enjoy it weather it be supperpark or Valdez AK. Its true that many park skiers cant deal with a big line, but alot of big mountain skiers cant T up a 60 foot table. You should shit on someone because they enjoy something different then you do (unless they are a telemarker...) Let the park skiers enjoy the park and progress there. I know i will ski both and continure to progress my skiing as a whole, but its not important to me to be good, whats important is that I enjoy myself and no one can take that away from me no matter how good they are and if they are a "real skier"
