i know some people aren't going to like me for saying this but i hate people that spend all their time in the park or building kickeres. there is other parts of the mountain to you know. i have no respect for anyone who is limited to just one aspect of skiing.

You are missing the whole soul of skiing.

It's crap like this that only takes away from our sport. Ski for yourself, and do it to have fun. As long as you are having a great time then it doesn't matter if you hit one rail or one powder line all day long. Go down the mountain however you please. If you were skiing for yourself then you would know this.

There are many aspects of skiing and thats what makes it so great. You aren't limited to one thing. With this freedom comes choice, and to insult someone for doing what they love doing - even if that is sessioning one jump all day is pathetic.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

hey, i ski on a dry slope and i have done for about 12 years

you know its all the same sport, we all have ski's on so what the fuck does it matter if some of us like doing jumps in a park or some like cruisin the reds and blacks or some like skiing through the trees on a pow day.

yeah skiing on a dry slope is a bit crappy but it's the best way to learn technique, from skiing every week for the past 12 yrs and going on snow for about two weeks a year, I can ski the whole mountain easily. but variability is cool.... ta

 
All right, my home mountain's longest run is 3/4 of a mile long...I can walk up it in like 5 minutes. There is definately no lines to take, but they are mad cool and build us jumps the way we want them, so all I do is ski park. And since I live in the east and that is the only place I ski because I'm not rich, I never see any big mountain skiing so all I ride is park. As long as you're having fun and not being a racer who buys sick twintips and shit that's all that counts.

my mountain is so small, so the park is best, but when it did have powder thats all i skied, i said fuck park, and i always have to ski at least all the trails once or twice during the day to work on some real skiing technique because i think that helps me in park better

Yeah, they are missing out on alot of different aspects of skiing, but if they are doing what they love doing.. who cares?

You might as well bitch at all the racers in the world who train on race slopes because they want to get better.

Or bitch at all the mogul riders who will race down mogul runs all day long trying to perfect their run.

Or even skateboarders who ride pipes and bowls unrelentlessly because they love it.

And what about urban skaters who just ride the streets?

its time for my 1 and a half cents...... if someone skis in the park and they feel all warm inside and there is no place else they would rather be on the mountain then thats cool.... people shouldnt tell someone there not an all around skiier cuz thats there opinion... like who are you skiing for anyway? not someone that thinks your lame cuz you dont rip the big lines.... and someone that just rides lines all day... they never hit the park... some people will think there not as cool and such... but why? people shouldnt chang there style of skiing and there favourite terrian choices becuase someone else doesnt like it..... alot of racers are getting into newschool becuase racing isnt 'cool' but its all skiing and we all get the same rush from it so why hassle them..... weather its going super fast around some gates, floating through waist deep powder, flying through the moguls or sliding a handrail in town..... its all skiing... you should be stoked to do what you like without people making fun of you for it....

My hill has 300 vt feet... the only one i know here that has a smaller hill is brody (sorry buddy). So all we have is a park. For 300 vt feet our park is bad as hell but thats beside the point. Not everyone has the room or the options to ski everywhere. It is nice thought to see as you call them, park monkeys (rats) be able to ski. There are too many people (at least at my hill) who can't ski at all but just do things in the park. I think that is border line waste of skiing. It shows people that anyone can jib and what not. It gives a bad image in my eyes of jibbers. So everyone should learn how to ski everywhere, and people should ski how they want with out people bitching about it

i didnt see enemy 1080 post in this before so i guess you are the idiot. I might have just missed it though. Then I'm the idiot. I have 200 ft and its a blast. More than a few inches of new snow will ruin the day because you can't get enough speed to make it to the lift.

i finally had the opportunity to ski big mountian, after moving from the east coast, and i would have to say that park is much more fun for me, so i am going to do that much more than big mountian. i think its a personal preference, and whatever someone likes is what they should do, who cares what they ski..

well,for me i would ski pow, and what not accept, in the east theres no such thing, as well, ive been skiing at the same place so its not as fun when skiing the same runs over and over, so i ski park to improve my skills and become better.

TRY EVERYTHING EVEN IF IT MEANS KICKING YOUR OWN ASS
