anyone know what this job is like? do you get to ski at all or is it just bitch work all day long?

i had a choice of either being park digger or a cook at mhssc, i took the cook job bescuase i get paid. but the diggers up there get free passes and all they have to do is pour salt on the jumps and rake them in the morning, pretty easy, then the rest of the day they dont do anything

I think the job of a digger is a little harder than just pouring salt...talk to MDFresh he knows what its all about

well maybe other places but not at the camp i work for, its an easy job there

A dig job will keep you busy for the day. You ride and you pretty much get to make jumps perfect to your liking. Salt. make the kickers for the rails. Most all dig jobs dont pay and some you have to pay for your own tickets but in exchange you get lodging, food, and transportation.. Pretty pretty sick to be skiing in the summer for sure!

uuu, yea rob - good luck getting a digger job next summer at a camp. hahaha. no chance in hell you're going to get it (no offence) unless you become friends with or get on the good side of the owners and opperators of the camps. it's one of those inside only type jobs. it's the same with blue mountain's park tech jobs even. so yea, dont' say you're going to be a digger so confidently.

and Doug's a digger this summer at High North, so yea, talk to him if you want some info about it.

The pipe and park crew at teton village are pretty sweet. They keep up the pipe really well, it a nice 16 ft superpipe. The park is lacking though, they don't groom it every day which kind of suck. When the do groom it it is nice. The head guy is also a coach at COC(Check out this years COC brochure and he is sliding the A-frame rail, JP martin) so he always helps us out in the pipe, He is pretty cool.

haha..i dont get it..why do u need connections to do such a manual job?? it's not like u need connections to be a garbage man or any other similar, simple, easy job

it's because Everybody wants the job.... so very few people can actually get it. hence the connections needed

yeah it's a really hard job to get. my boss at tali used to ride with szocs all the time so maybe i can get him to put in a good word for me. i just wanna ski all summer
