Park City's park switchup

I vacation in pc alot and i was wondering what you thought of the switch with the parks. Isn'st jonesy alot shorter than kings? What trails will they use for this new park? Is this a good idea? I always thought their featured park should be on a longer WIDER run but im not familiar with the jonesy area.

whether or not it's a good idea overall, people should have fun with the changes. as far as moving to a complete new run, that's a pretty hard sell to the resort. but yes, it should be a good change overall and after people get used to everything being moved, they will enjoy it.

ok, here's the deal with joneseys, can't start until the mid mountain lodge trial just over the crest of homerun, have to have a break in the park mid run for the mcconkeys lift access and then it starts back into the park again. give us a month or so to tweak it out and then feel free to bitch away. i would like comments from everyone so i can go in and say hey, here's an idea or this is working but this isn't so lets fix it. it's hard to give an existing park a new identity but it will work if everyone gives a little bit of time to get the kinks out. thanks!

i just want it to flow, pick n shovel always had some what of a better flow than kings, even though king had bigger features, i would like to see jonesy to have tons of options, unlike kings which you hit whatever was in front of you.

ok, i don't think it's come across clearly yet. all the park names stay in the location they have been. pick is still pick, but now the small park, which was joneseys last year. the intermediate park which was pick last year, is moving to the crown. so kings crown will now be the intermediate. the large park, kings crown last year, is moving to joneseys, and the run is expanding above the existing park from last year, but the name will still be joneseys. no new park on a new run, which i think still needs to happen, just a shift of park size.

I wish that there were a wider run where 2 tables could be next to each other, or maybe even 3. Then you have the options of different tables and different rails, but not have to miss out on the tables just to hit the rails

yo the skinny on the parks is this, straight out of the mans mouth. they are moving the parks around for a simple reason. the higher the park is the more snow that it will get and the longer it will stay in good condition. so with the big park up higher it will allow for more creativity for the park crew to build and they won't have to move as much snow later in the year.

it is a good idea, we will just have to see how it works out. all i know is that bonaza line is going to get out of controll

^ not so much if you look at how many people ride the big park at pc it doesent get nearly the traffic as the others

yea seriously...whenever i've been at PC the most i've ever seen in kings is like 10 other kids, but usually it's mad empty. i'm pretty stoked to see how this works out.

wow sounds crazy...do we know of any new features or do we just have to wait for a month or so? and will there be any park features up the first weekend like there was last year? that was chill

a few rails for opening for now, we'll see. there are a ton of new jibs bought this season. so we'll wait and see for the snow to get piled up enough to push...

haven't you ever seen the bonanza line get crazy? it can be worse than pay day sometimes. but i guess it isn't normal that bad all the time.

anyway you should just get fast tracks

well, it is pretty safe to say that 90% of the people on here haven't even left Kings Crown and Pick n Shovel, so they dont even know how crazy bonanza can get.

whenever i've been there i've never had to wait in line at Bonanza...but i guess i've just gone at awkward (yet awesomely empty) times.

THis season it's gonna be pretty busy I think. Think of how many people we have on simple sessions, like urbans and shit. SO many park rats moved here.

seriously just read the thread. Adrenaline (mike eddington) just described the whole thing in rich detail twiice!
