ski snowboard photography rule #1, which can only be broken if you know proper composition techniques.....shower where the rider came from and where he's going

I would have to say that my personal favorite is the back of the lip behind, skier more in foregraound. althugh it might not show the landing, the skier is the subject more than the lip.

unless you have a crane. Then the sickest picture is from above.
