Your point about profits only makes sense in a world where no one responds to other facets of the economy at all. Santa Cruz bikes raised their prices something like 8% just to cover shipping. Are they greedy corporate assholes or just dudes making bikes? Should they fire some employees or work for free? Of course the price rises. It costs them more to make the bike, it costs them more to ship the bike, and basically everyone in the US was handed $5k in a matter of months for existing. The value of every one of those dollars is 7% lower than last year. The price goes up. It only has since the times of Rome though, it’s probably because of Microsoft.

This is my thoughts about all this...

Like, seriously, the amount of money people say everyone was getting throughout this whole things is so overinflated that it's ridiculous. The only money I got from the government were the covid cheques.
 
Some people were eligible for unemployment with pandemic pay on top which was totally separate from the stimulus checks. Trust me, I agree that it’s a stupid thing to argue about lol but I’m guessing that’s where the “extra” comes from

yeah, I know some people who were eligible but for 5 grand worth? And EVERYONE?

Someone in the comments on their insta post said the vote to approve that contract from Patrol was almost 50/50 meaning they successfully busted the Union, and the Union absolutely should have gone on strike, particularly with the funding they received from the public. Makes me very sad to see :(

My favorites are the kids who grew up in PC that complain about development while they work for realtors and developers. Fucking idiots.

If you are ever going to fake an election, make sure it's a close race! No one believes a 100% result but 50/50 everyone will be a good sport and accept it.
